"At least someone got some action yesterday. I couldn't get mine since I was busy taking care of a drunk woman." He beamed.

"Come on now, I already thanked you for it. And I don't think you could have gotten some action regardless of my hindrance."

"You think I can't have my way with girls?"

"You get awkward even with Leslie's harmless flirting, how am I supposed to believe you can get touchy with a girl." I mocked him.

"You haven't seen how many girls eye me up on a regular basis. And don't even get me started on the excuses they make to flirt with me."

"Yeah and the same girls are the ones who end up telling everyone that you are gay 'cause you are so slow at pacing with them.", I laughed.

Mia barged into the apartment and shut the door harshly behind her. She went stomping into her room and locked the door without even sparing anyone a glance. Adrian and I exchanged suspicious looks.

"I take it last night didn't go so well after all." He assumed.

"I suppose."

It wasn't until evening that Mia came out of her room dressed in fresh clothes. I was having an early dinner and had left some for her. She served herself some noodles and poured two glasses of coke for us. She sat down across me, a serious expression over her face.

"There's no other way to do this so let's just dive right in. Now spill!" I tried to force it out.

"I hooked up with Cole." She said is a low voice.

"I know. And?"

"And nothing, he likes me and wants to pursue a relationship with me but...."

"But you don't want to." I completed it for her.

"Yes. I don't. I mean it was just a one-night thing for me. I don't want any relationship with him and when I told that to him, he got all upset. It makes me feel like shit that I hurt him."

"Hadn't I warned you something like this was bound to happen? I specifically remember telling you to make sure whether you both were on the same page or not."

"Look Ginna I never sent him any signs that might suggest I wanted a relationship."

"Yes, but you flirted with him all the time."

"Yes, I did but you very well know he flirts with so many girls. I didn't think I was special. I thought we were just having fun and he knew what I wanted."

"Clearly he didn't. What did he say?"

"He said that he wanted to continue being friends while we were in the same group. But I think we both might need some time to get past this."

"I agree. So, tell me how can I help you?"

"By taking my mind of it and also by help me stay out of his way for a few days."

"Done. Now let's watch Netflix. F.R.I.E.N.D.S might cheer you up. Shall I get some ice cream?"

The next day I found myself working on a mission to keep Cole away Mia away from each other. Mia purposely chose the corner seat and I sat beside her. Andy joined us soon after. He wasn't in a good mood either. Looks like college was taking a toll on all of us. Adrian, Cole and Leslie walked in together. Mia was pretending to read the newspaper beside me and Andy was on his phone. I wished each of them good morning. Cole tried to wish Mia but she wouldn't take her eyes off the newspaper. We all sat quietly till the class began.
