ASH POV

"Ash!"

No. No no no!

I whipped my head around and I felt as my insides did a flip. Eiji what is he...why is he out here ?! Damnit! I told him to stay put! He's in no condition to be out here. He's going to screw everything up!

"Eiji! Get back inside right now!"

I saw as he visibly tensed up, as if second guessing himself. Good. Maybe he'll actually listen to me this time. Except instead of turning around he picked up speed. He wasn't second guessing himself anymore. I could tell by his eyes. He had a goal, and he was going to complete no matter what.

Damnit Eiji why do you have to be so stubborn.

He abruptly stoped as he ran up next to me. He was breathing in deeply, trying to catch his breath, but he didn't seem to notice his own fatigue as he looked me over.

It pissed me off.

Can he for once think of his own self instead of worrying about others?

I griped his shoulder. He'd done the last and most stupid thing he could have done.

I leaned down and whispered into his ear.

"I told you to stay put Eiji!" I seethed out. Why? Why couldn't he listen to me. Why can't he understand that I'm trying to protect him?

Eiji slightly winced and he looked up at me with those big brown eyes of his.

"I just wanted to make sure you were okay." He mumbled out.

I loosened my grip and let out a sigh. How could I stay mad at him. He just wanted to make sure I was okay. What he did was stupid but his intentions weren't to make things worse.

I turned back around to Dino and pulled Eiji behind me, trying my best to shield him from Dino.

"Stay behind me, stupid." I mumbled out.

I could feel Eijis eyes looking up at me as he gave a small nod.

I glared at Dino. He had a smirk on his face and he was looking at Eiji as if he were some sort of lab experiment. It was seriously pissing me off.

"Hello Eiji"

I felt as Eiji griped the end of my shirt. I looked over my shoulder and what I saw made me beyond pissed. Eiji was shaking and his breathing was ragged.

Eiji, What has he done to you? I pulled Eiji closer to me then turned back around to face Dino. This man is going to pay for whatever the hell he put Eiji through.

One day.

But that day won't be today. My first priority is getting Eiji and the rest of my gang out of here safely and unharmed and if that means exchanging my freedom, then so be it.

I pushed down my anger as best as I could and looked Dino in the eyes.

"You won't talk to him and you won't lay a finger on him. We had a deal Dino."

Dino waved his hand. "Yes yes. I only wanted to see how Eiji was doing. That's all."

How dare he. How dare he think he can talk to Eiji as if they're some old pals. It makes me sick.

"Honestly I was hopeing I'd see him." I immediately tensed up. What is he playing at?

"Let me see." Dino started looking through the pockets of his suit. "Ah yes, here it is. Does this look familiar Eiji?"

I scrunched my brows together. I thought I just told him to not talk to Eiji. I looked at what he had in his hand and it looked like some old golden locket.

Before I could say anything I felt Eijis grip on my shirt loosen before he completely let go. I turned around as I saw Eiji put a hand to his head, his brows scrunched together as if he was in pain. What's happening?

I tentivly put a hand on his shoulder.

"Eiji? What's wrong?"

I gently shook him, trying to get his attention. It looked like he was in some sort of daze. He winced then shrugged my hand away.

I turned to Dino. He had a gleam in his eyes, one that was very unsettling. I took a step towards him. Whatever was going on with Eiji, it was Dinos fault. All his fault.

"Dino, what is that locket?"

He merely smiled at me as he raised his finger and pressed a small button that was dead center on the locket as it made a faint clicking sound.

That's when I heard it. The one sound that I wish I would never have to hear. I turned back around. Eiji was on his knees as he wailed out in pain.

Panic seized my heart. "Eiji!"

"Restrain him."

I felt as a pair of strong arms grabed onto me. I quickly pushed them away only to get smacked right in the face but the but of a gun.

I fell to the ground and winced. I ignored the pain and went to stand up only to get shoved back down onto the ground. My arms were painfully pulled behind me and my face was pushed into the dirt.

I pulled and pushed against the hold on me but that mans grip didn't budge. I tried to move my head which resulted in me getting a face full of dirt.

I moved my head as much as I could and looked over at Eiji as he screams grew worse. I felt as my eyes began to water. Why? Why does everyone I love have to go through so much pain?

Eijis cry's abruptly stoped as he fell to the ground. He wasn't dead, his chest still going up and down. He was just unconscious, for now.

"What did you do Dino!"

He smirked at me. Oh how much I'd like to end this pigs life.

"Tell me!"

He looked at me than back over Eiji.

"Well that would just spoil the fun now wouldn't it? Why don't I just show you instead?"

He stalked over to Eiji. My eyes widened and I furiously pulled at the arms holding me down.

"Get away from him Dino! Don't you dare touch him!"

In return I got another punch to the face causing my vision to blear.

Dino stoped right in front of Eijis crumpled form then he once again took out the golden locket and clicked a button that was on the other side. As soon as he clicked it I saw as Eijis hand slightly twitched. Then his eyes opened.

I gasped out. Stupid mistake. This is what Dino wants. To get a reaction out of me.

It's working.

I must be seeing things. I must have been punched to hard in the face. But once again I was met with those eyes. The eyes once big and brown and filled with so much light were now dule and down cast.

"Eiji? Eiji are you okay!?"

He ignored me and slowly stood the rest of the way up. What he did next shocked me. He turned towards Dino and kneeled. I was so confused. Why is Eiji kneeling in front of this asshole. The very man who put him through so much pain and suffering. I looked at Eiji, pain evident in my eyes. What did they do to you Eiji.

Dinos grin widened as he laid one of his filthy hands on Eijis shoulder.

"It worked."
