Rini One Shots

Theories

This is a couple theories/observations about the show.

1. Ricky was trying to be a homewrecker

In the recap of episode 4 at the beginning of episode 5 Ricky mentioned that he was too busy dealing with family drama and didn't know about Nini and EJ's break up. Then when Ricky and Big Red were walking down the hallway in episode 5 he mentions that he found out about the breakup through Ashlyn who heard it from Seb, which implies he found out later, and not the day of the break up.

2.Josh wrote do it all again based on Ricky and Nini's story

I think he wrote his song based on their relationship. He may have even written it for the show and they just rejected it. To prove it I am going to explain what lyrics match different rini memories and moments.

It's been 6 weeks since we said our goodbyes

I can't forget what was

If you look at the flashback in episode 1, Nini and Ricky take their break 6 weeks before the beginning of the school year.

So excuse the mess i made when you were mine
I'm still learning how to love

If this doesn't apply to their relationship I don't know what does. By not telling Nini he loved her he made a mess of their relationship. And he doesn't know how to love because of this parents bad marriage

Their relationship wasn't perfect but Ricky always talked about it in a good way as if even though he was sad that they were no longer together he was still happy that it happened and that it was worth it. And because of the whole itikyk situation Nini would probably be nervous about getting back together with Ricky.

In episode 1 Ricky wanted to get back together with Nini meaning that if it was his call he would rekindle their relationship.

I'm not yet used to only being friends
This hurts to much to hide

Ricky doesn't hide his pain very well like when he walked away from seeing Nini and EH you can see the pain in his eyes. And Ricky wants to stay friends with Nini but it's hard because he still loves her.

And i watched you walk into another's arms
I thought we had more time

Ricky saw EJ with his arms around Nini and it really hurt him. And the confusion from Ricky thinking it was a short pause, and Nini thinking it was a breakup, so Ricky thought they were going to get back together and have more time together.

Just the refrain being repeated.

As you can see there are a lot of similarities between the song and rini's story.
