Elsa loves paying the royal nursery a visit.

Stating the obvious was getting old, but never threadbare.

The beautiful thought of seeking her children's warmth, enveloping them in her arms and letting them memorize her face, her scent, it makes her feel more content than she already is.

There are times she declares herself to be a fool who used to be so afraid of becoming someone her four month old heirs would look up to.

Four months-her precious little snowflakes are now four months. They could already support their backs, and sometimes they could even utter something definitely gibberish but those are such golden milestones for Elsa.

The terrifying sight of her two winter bears growing up too fast makes her shiver, despite her knowing better than the cold.

One of the many reasons why she loves December was the pleasing vacancy of her desk, which would motivate her to organize and clean the dusty Norwegian tomes kept cob webbed in her untouched shelves. Paperwork weighed less, and if she's lucky, there are no existing ones for Kai to remind her of.

Each council member was given the full freedom to go and retire to their respective homes with their families for the rest of the holidays, and of course Elsa is more than persistent to send them off just to make sure none shall get the opportunity to insist to stay. She's honestly very giddy when it's this time of the year.

Not only is Yule is coming up, but not one soul in Arendelle is not wary of the forthcoming date of their queen's twenty third birthday, the day of the winter solstice.

Since she was quick to empty her mug of hot cocoa, she made sure to sneakily escape from their family's prolonged gathering in one of their most favored parlors in the castle to find the dearly missed presence of her beloved husband; a mission she is willing to take with her two adorable sidekicks hoisted on her shoulders.

Chandler giggled in amusement from where he is, accompanying and helping mama look for daddy is making him excited. His laughter echoed throughout the lush halls, and Elsa perked up in alarm and suppressed a laugh of her own. The baby prince's laughter is too infectious to stay unaffected.

She pressed her index finger to her lips and rubbed her son's back, signalling him to be quiet to make their quest more mischievous. "Don't laugh so loud, baby. Mama will get caught."

It won't be too long before Auntie Anna sets out on a wild goose chase to pull them back to the parlor anyway, so the little prince followed his mother's instruction. Patting her son's head, Elsa continues her desperate search for her love.

"Now where could that dashing fool be?" Elsa audibly wondered, bouncing her daughter lightly to endure her diminishing patience, "I told him to not even DARE to step a toe inside the study. But oh ho, little loves, your father's more stubborn than you think. With him, there will times he hears a yes as a no, and no as a yes."

"Like you aren't equally as hardheaded, minn elska."

"There you are, elskede," Elsa sighed in relief, standing up on her tip toes and kissing Aiden's lips softly, "I was starting to get worried. Where have you been? There's literally snow on your hair. And where's your winter coat?"

Aiden chuckled.

One of the reasons why he deeply fell for this woman who is currently checking every spec of his face was how much of a worrywart she could be-in a good way, that's what he mean. It's nearly impossible (or it is truly and most likely impossible) to not like, befriend, or to not be attracted to the loving girl tucked between his strapping arms.
