"I'll never get tired of staring at them. They look like a ceiling with glowing rocks..."

Anna smiled and hummed softly, her hands burrowed in Kristoff's golden blond locks. She loved every little detail of his astonished face. From his pinkish cheeks that differ from his fair complexion to his brown eyes that almost, in her perspective, rivaled the pretty balls of heat he is gawking at.

The blanket settled on the grass beneath them is already wrinkled by how her husband would move and arch his back just to point at a glimmering star. She cannot blame him, though. The stars are already bonding with the Aurora Borealis and seeing the array of colorful lights dance around up there made the thrill swelling in her stomach intensify.

"The sky's awake."

Kristoff beamed at her sentence, along with a kiss on her cheek. The three words had been used many years ago by her younger self, and it felt good to say it at the tip of her tongue again. A quick rush of memories flowed through her recall, her toothy smile reaching her eyes.

"It is. And it's perfect."

She nodded in agreement, her hands on her stomach as a smooth breeze passed by to whisk their hair for a mere moment.

The other couple wasn't so far from them both. While she and Kristoff's moods aren't so different and consist obvious astonishment, Elsa and Aiden's were very different. None of them were pointing at any particular object on the sky; none of them were wide eyed, amazed, or mystified.

It looked just like a routine for them.

Elsa's eyes looked so calm and relaxed, half lidded. Aiden's arm is secured around her shoulder, his lips pursed. His usually neat-combed hair is unusually styled wild, almost to be described curly. His fingers were interlocked with his wife's, right on his chest. Elsa's cape is used as a cozy wrap up blanket, the cotton soft fabric tangled around the pair.

Her small body is cradled against his big frame; his green eyes looking at no where but a single, twinkling star.

Mother.

It felt like forever. He turned his eyes away from contact with the star and whirled his head to his wife, pressing a lingering kiss on her forehead before whispering something to her ear that made her chuckle and reply.

Anna gave a nostalgic smile towards both of them, tears almost stinging her eyes. She would always thank heavens above that her sister met the fire king by fate. If there was someone who she would trust with Elsa's life, it's surely Aiden. She knew he loves her older sister dearly, take her as a witness.

Thank you.

Anna is currently resting her head on her sister's comfy shoulder, her turquoise blue eyes gazing at the evening fire in front of them all. Elsa, being a few inches taller than her, is able to rest her head on Anna's, the two of them listening to the men duo's amusing tales.

Anna suppressed a giggle after hearing Kristoff's tale about being thrown out to the snowy wilderness after calling an offended Oaken a crook.

"That was one wrong move you did," Aiden laughed, "Then you ended up sleeping in one of the barns, am I correct?"

"Yup. And then that's the moment my wife comes in to follow me because she found me so irresistible."

Anna's face reddens right after, "N-no! I needed your sled to save my sister here, for your information, dear husband of mine."

"Can't deny the truth, honey." Kristoff shrugged smugly, earning a playful whack from the ginger head.

"Well, in my defense, I'm not the only one smitten to my husband here." She eyed the ice queen mischievously.

Elsa smiled rather cheekily over to Aiden, "She tells the truth."

"She does now, does she?" Aiden smiles back, planting a kiss on her collarbone. He switched seats and is now beside his wife, interlocking their fingers, "It's obvious you do, snowflake. Very, very obvious."

Elsa smirked and shrugged, leaning closer to him to say a silent but affectionate I love you. Aiden grinned and tucked a stray strand of her hair and said it back, then kissed her ear.

Silence.

Again, silence.

"Hey, you okay?" Aiden softly whispered.

Elsa nodded curtly, "Yeah, don't worry. Just thinking things through..."

"Things? What things?" Aiden frowned.

"I don't know... Things were so different back then..." She sighs, "Things were so painful back then."

"Hey now, don't think like that." Anna reassured, rubbing her sister's back, "What matters is now and what's in the future. We've reached this far, we've tamed fear, we've survived through concealed feelings and hopelessness."

"While you're right, Anna, I just hope things remain this way. I hope things remain the way it should be."

Like this.

Aiden flashed his queen a comforting grin.

"That's for me to ensure, snowflake."

"You ready for bed, my queen?" He asked quietly, eyeing the cherry wood cribs beside their canopied king size.

The curtains swayed and played along with the evening breeze coming from the open slice of the windows. Elsa turned around from the balcony door to face the fire king once again, now in her satin sleepwear.

She nodded gently before sitting beside him by the edge of the bed, cuddling close, longing for his warmth and his scent.

They stayed that way before Aiden decided to be the icebreaker, "Magoo had sent me a letter."

Elsa curiously looked at him intently, "About what?"

"He desires to transfer here permanently. He had resigned from Nathan's captain of the guard and I offered him the position Arendelle's General since Lars had informed me that General Lee has retired. Thankfully he accepted."

"When shall he arrive?"

"Quite possibly tomorrow by afternoon."

"Let's also discuss this tomorrow, lover. I'm tired."

"As you wish."

Carrying her to bed, he gingerly laid her down and rests next to her, arms locked around her waist. She whispered a faint goodnight before dozing off, Aiden yawning and following suit, right after kissing her temple.
