Expect the Unexpected

Chapter One

Jungkook's POV

I finally got it! The song I'll play for Sydney to confess to her...

I'm surprised I haven't done it by now considering how long we've known each other...

"Guys! Guys! I finally got it!" I call my friends.

"Finally got what?" Bambam asks.

His name isn't actually Bambam, it's just his nickname.

"The song I've been practicing for Sydney!"

"You've had it down, you're just a perfectionist who has to have every single thing sorted out. You know that she'd like it even if you messed up." Yugyeom says.

Wow, he really just called me out like that...

I hear Bambam and Jooseok laugh at what he said.

"So, can we go with you when you go with Sydney. We wanna see it happen!" Jooseok says.

"I... I don't know. Let me think about it..." I say.

"Totally understandable. But, I do hope we can be there to witness the greatness that will be you getting with Sydney." Yugyeom says.

"Yeah, take all the time you want between now and lunchtime tomorrow," Bambam says.

"Let me think about it right now. I'll tell you what I think later," I say.

*****TIME SKIP*****

I've thought long and hard... As much as my best friends want to be there for when I confess, I want this to be something special to just me and Sydney...

Even if they were there in secret, I think it would still just make me more nervous...

I text our group chat

To: da boyz

Hey... So I considered it... But, I think I just want it to be Sydney and me... I'm sorry guys

I almost immediately get texts back.

From: da boyz

That's okay dude ~Bambam

Yeah, don't sweat it ~Jooseok

Yeah, we get it ~Yugyeom

I'm glad they understand where I'm coming from... I don't wanna be a jerk but, I just feel like it'll be more special if it's just the two of us.

I get up and go to school

Once I arrive, I get attacked by my friends.

"Hey! Are you nervous about later?" Yugyeom asks, slinging his arm around my shoulders.

"Yeah..." I say, looking down.

"Don't be too nervous. Sydney has been your friend for years now. I'm like 99.99999999% sure she's gonna say yes." Jooseok laughs.

"But what about that .00000001% chance she says no?" Bambam jokes.

"Yah! Don't make him more nervous!" Yugyeom punches Bambam's arm.

The bell then rings; we all go off to our separate ways.

"Jungkook!" I hear Sydney say as I enter the classroom.

I smile and wave as I make my way over to our shared table.

"I was waiting for you! I was scared you weren't gonna show up." she pouts.
