(Y/N) POV

It's been a few hours since we left Atlas....and I can tell Summer's ears are growing tired of the loud engines that power the Eagle. I've been flat out since we left, even Lizart is complaining about the noise

"We should be going a lot faster then we are right?" Summer asks

"Depends, I wasn't told how heavy the Cargo was, but its at least 500 tons," I say looking at her

She looks away and holds her headset on her ears more.

"It's loud!" She says. Even with hearing protection the engines easily make their sound known. Anyone would be able to hear us coming from 5 miles away.

"I'm sorry," I mutter as I fiddle with some switches to control the temperature of the engines. Since my crash landing near Vale a few years ago, I've worked on designs to help keep the engine cool under rough conditions.

Before, cooling was done with a water mixture around the cylinders with a single giant radiator at the back to cool the liquid. The problem with this system is the radiator doesn't always get fresh cool air.

So as a solution, I've made a system that holds the heat. How it works is I've taken metals that conduct heat well and placed them on the underside of the Eagle. They are connected right to the main block of the Engine and use the principle of heat across a surface area to help thermals.

When the metals get too hot, I've made another system that opens a ramp on the underside that directs air through the metal to carry heat out. This makes drag however since the ramp opens against the air.

I need to cycle the process every hour or so, at face value, it doesn't aid engine temps during normal flying, in fact, it makes them worse. But in emergencies, it can be a powerful tool to cool the engines if the normal radiator is overwhelmed like it is now, as it cools the whole system and not just the water

"Do we have any food!" Summer says as she holds her stomach

"No, we gotta hunt some when we are done for the day," I say teasing her

"Seriously! Icouldhavebroughtsomecookies orsomething!" Summer says in a hurry

"I'm joking, I brought some food, we can eat when I land for the day," I say. We probably have another 3 hours of flying until it starts getting dark. I've tried to avoid flying in darkness since my crash, and it's easier to fly in the daytime anyway.

The rest of the day was the same as the first part, toggling the ramp for cooling the metal, hearing Summer and Lizart complain about noise, and watch as we speed(kinda) across Remnant. The sky started getting darker as the sun sets

"This means food right!" Summer asks with stars in her eyes

"Yes, I'm looking for a clear space to land," I say as I survey the ground. I found a good enough spot and landed, as I shut the Engines off, Summer says, "finally peace and quiet!"

I chuckle a bit before unbuckling and head to the Eagle's living space. It's a simple bed with a shelf or two and then a door for privacy....for when...I don't know. It's not common I spend the night in the Eagle with someone else. So many the Atlas engineers thought it was a nice feature to have a door...beats me.

I look at one of my shelves and grab a giant bag resting on it.

"Here ya go!" I say to Summer has I haul the bag out
