This is because they are humans and teens esp. If they agree all the time, it makes this story seems so unreal. If you have a mission especially one like theirs, everyone comes up with different plans which may be contradicting.

My God, she was only seventeen and she was faced with a lot of difficulties at once. Getting practically disowned by your mom could be disheartening then losing your sister 😓 Now, trying to save a tripple bunch of people and dealing with a best friend who sleeps a lot 😔😋 It's not easy and it can make a saint turn bitch though she wasn't.
