"Are you stupid or what?! Hm?!"

"No, gamdong-nim-" Jieun lowered her head and shook it slowly, trying not to let her tears fall. She must not cry, she must not cry, she must not cry. "I'm just a makeup artist, but I'll try my best-"

"A makeup artist?!" The director yelled, clutching his head with his hands frustratedly. "What the hell is a makeup artist doing on my set! Seokjin-ssi, where's the props team? I told you I need people from the props department! Why did you call me a makeup artist who doesn't know head or tail what she's supposed to do!"

"Well..." Seokjin pursed his lips and lowered his head. "Gamdong-nim, I'm really sorry, it's not that we don't have a props team, but it's just that they were all sent somewhere else today..."

The director was getting more and more angry by the minute. "What?!"

"Um, I tell you what-" Seokjin bit his lower lip anxiously, shoving the clipboard in his hands towards Jieun and handing her his belongings as well. "I'll do it. I've done it before, in a similar situation. I'm confident of doing it well, gamdong-nim."

The director rolled his eyes and shook his head. "I never knew BG Entertainment was this unprofessional, if not I wouldn't have promised to work with you..."

"Sorry, gamdong-nim," Seokjin said as he bowed a few more times. "It's just that our company has been managing a few more comebacks this month, and the others are younger groups that our sajang-nim has been trying to push more, so our JK's b-side music video is slightly overlooked-"

The director shook his head.

"Sorry... I'm really sorry..." Seokjin bowed a few more times. "Gamdong-nim, on behalf of my company, I would really like to apologise-"

The director glanced at Seokjin, thoroughly irritated. "What are you still doing here? Go to that corner! I don't have all day!"

"Yes, gamdong-nim-" Seokjin nodded, before sending Jieun a quick look. "Jieun-ah, go wait at the side and help Miyeon and Shuhua with touching up JK's makeup."

Glancing briefly in Jungkook's direction, Jieun caught sight of him getting his makeup touched up by Miyeon and Shuhua. Jieun was about to cry, but she held in the tears and went to one side. She hated the fact that the filming of Jungkook's music video wasn't going smoothly... and that it was all her fault. She felt like she really didn't need to be there, quite frankly. Perhaps, now was the time for her to go. For her to leave Jungkook's side and disappear for good. Jieun fought back her tears as she made her way towards Miyeon and Shuhua, trying her best to keep herself hidden in the shadows.

"Jieun-unnie, it's alright-" Shuhua patted Jieun on the back later when she joined her at the side once more, trying her best to console her. "I got into such trouble in the past too. We're makeup artists after all, they can't expect us to do such things. Cheer up, okay?"

Jieun forced a smile, but she really wasn't smiling inside. She felt miserable.

"Jieun-unnie-" Miyeon smiled as she removed her makeup pouch and held it out towards Jieun. "Us makeup artists should stick to what we're good at. I noticed that JK-ssi and you aren't exactly on good terms today, why don't you take this opportunity to make it up to him...? You can do the rest of his makeup from now."

Jieun shook her head. "Thank you, Miyeon-ah. But it's not gonna work, and that's okay."

"I don't know what exactly happened between the two of you, but how would you know it won't work until you try?" Miyeon said as she fastened the makeup pouch around Jieun's waist. "There you go - have courage, unnie. For the past five years, I've never seen JK-ssi been so good to anyone apart from you. If you think the friendship is worth keeping, you should just bite the bullet and go for it."
