"Yeah right"

"Well I'll let you get dressed...dinner is ready and it's rude to keep our special guests waiting"

I gave him a nod as he walked out.

I picked out my Zinna Mini Dress and got dressed.

I hate that I'm getting dolled up at this time of the day instead of wearing my usual comfy pyjamas but I want to try and make an impression on Lorenzos parents.

At the end of the day Lorenzo and I are madly in love right? I want to be a good wife...in their eyes and my parent's eyes.

"Lina do you have the slightest idea how long we've been waiting here? We're hungry and we couldn't start eating without you" mom said at the dinner table as I sat down close to Lorenzo; He was seated at the head of the table

"I'm sorry mother but... I unfortunately have to ask all of you to wait a bit longer"

"Why?" Lorenzo asked making me roll my eyes

"...because your parents are on the way right?" I asked and his lips formed an 'o' shape
"Only Ariana can start nibbling on her food since she's eating for two"

"When are your parents arriving Lorenzo?" Dad asked

"They should be arriving any second now Mr. Gallagher"

"Please call me Simon...I'm your father in-law now"

"Simon" Lorenzo tested his name and Dad gave him a nod with a short smile

We sat for about two minutes suffering from an awkward silence and if you know me you know I hate awkward silence

"Apparently when it's this quiet at a dinner table it's because an angel just flew over it" I spoke up and I saw Aurora and Austin roll their eyes

Thankfully Summer rushed into the Dining room

"Hello family" she beamed "Mi dispiace(I'm sorry) I'm so late madre(mother) did not want to come empty handed so we ended up running across the city trying to get you the best gift...and unfortunately the best we could come up with was our presence here today because padre(father) was being impatient" she spoke quickly "Anywho... these are our parents Lauren and Robert" she introduced us and I quickly stood up to shake their hands; Robert rejected my handshake and surprisingly Lauren pulled me in for a tight hug

"Sei bellissima(you are beautiful)"She smiled brightly

"Lo so(I know)" Summer commented

"Uhm...these are my parents Amanda and Simon" I introduced

"Lovely to meet you" mom beamed at Lauren, Dad shook her hand.

My parents completely ignored Robert's presence.

"These are my two sisters Aurora and Ariana"

"I've seen this one before...just not sure where or when that was" Robert spoke up looking at Aurora

(Because she works for your son I thought to myself)

"Well I've been told that I have a familiar face" Aurora lies

"...And that is my youngest sibling Austin"

Once the introductions were out of the way it was time to eat.

"Son ;where did you say you met this one?" Robert asked referring to me

"We met at work" was all Lorenzo said

"So she was one of your employees" Robert concluded and I just continued eating my food trying to block everyone out

"Sure" Lorenzo agreed as he took a bite of his food

"Why aren't your brothers here?" Lauren asked Lorenzo

"They're busy...but they promised to try and visit soon"

"I just think that dating your employer is unprofessional Angelina...wouldn't you agree?"

"What are you implying about my daughter Robert?" Dad asked angrily

"Oh...nothing at all just trying to know my new daughter in law" Robert Smirked

"Out of all the families you could pick darling...you picked the one with an ass wipe of a father in law"

"Dad...that's not very nice"

"Do you expect me to just sit here and listen to this weak excuse of a man talk about my daughter in a negative light?" Dad asked

"No need to get all hot a bothered people"Robert smirked. Eww

"Enough Robert"Lauren pleaded quietly and Robert shrugged

"Well father...if you must know; I'm the one that pursued Angelina; infact she didn't want anything to do with me but I was persistent and she finally gave in" Lorenzo said and grabbed my hand lovingly to place a chaste kiss on my ring finger.

He spoke as if what he was saying was true... what an amazing liar I thought to myself

"Now I would appreciate it if you stopped making my...wife unwelcome in her own home" he continued

Lorenzo's father remained quiet for the remainder of the night while our families conversated. He kept glancing evily It made me a little uncomfortable therefore I excused myself from the table and made my way to my...our room

I said a quick goodnight to Penny on my way up and closed the bedroom door.
