I was enjoying this a tiny bit because the look on King's face was worth it.

"Oh, you seem surprised to see your daughter." She said and walked among few of people present in the courtroom.

King was flabbergasted as if had seen a ghost.

She smirked and raised her finger in direction of the advisor and formed a ring in the air. He started choking, water bubbling out of his mouth within seconds.

"How-?" This was the first word he managed out of his mouth, his hand gripping his staff tighter as he helped his advisor to breathe again.

"The power surging through me is more than you can imagine father." She said taking lazy steps towards the throne.

While I and Nazereth stood close to the door, in case we needed to minimize any damage.

"You- you helped her." He said pointing in my direction or maybe he meant Nazereth because I was mostly useless in his eyes, a sacrifice to sell.

"You did this King and you know it." Nazereth answered through gritted teeth.

"I can make him walk into your sword if it helps." I whispered to him casually and felt thousand needles prick my heart as hurt and surprise flickered on Nazereth's face.

What was so wrong with my suggestion?

Hypocrites, everyone is a hypocrite.

"You think, you spineless monster that I would need help." Ermeline and yelled and the ground beneath us shook with tremors.

If it cracked open, as per her plan, the courtroom will be flooded but I doubt we can drown a King of Water KIngdom.

"Do not think Ermeline that I cannot stop you."

"Settle this for once now because there has been enough damage done by you." She sneered hatefully.

If the help was needed I would offer my assistance for till then I wanted to see this epic showdown between father and daughter. Ermeline has been trapped all her life, she deserved her own chance at closure.

"Why don't I just keep you prisoner in a tower first?"She said hatefully.

"Stop whining and fight." King said not caring for a moment that she was his own blood.

I wonder if this was why Clarence left, because he didn't want to see his own blood turn against each other. Whoever wins, he would be under their command. He was brutally conniving when it came to survival.

But just as a large water bubble formed around King's staff, a bubble he was about to drown me in a beautiful music or chant started flowing in the courtroom. It felt like everything slowed down and a fragrance enchanted us. And yet I felt souls around me relax and energy lowered down to the point where they all wanted nothing but to rest and sleep.

And then I felt his soul, the one cold and warm, with magic and power. It was Syrion, a pirate, hailing from blood lines of Sirens who can sing sailors to death if they wanted. Everyone except me was in his trance.

"What are you doing here?" I asked in a slightly offended tone as he stopped the battle and drama going on.

It felt like I was watching a book and not something that could trigger me emotionally.

He had bloodshot eyes and anger written all over him. His emotions were strong and if I wanted I would have calmed him down.

"Come with me Ermeline." He said like a sound echoing through the cave.

It was amplified with a tinge of melody in their. It was soothing for some reason, even for me who was unaffected by the Siren's call.

I could not let him take Ermeline away. I shouldn't, should I?
