Chapter 15- Family Day Pt. 2

"Kiersten hunny let me explain" Her mom starts but KJ waves her off

"Its KJ and you should leave" her voice was void of any emotion; she could feel Avery at the surface ready to take charge if need be

"Can you just listen; you don't know how hard it was raising you... all these issues it was so much stress an- "She is cut off by KJ shoving past her

"I don't want to hear your excuses on why you did what you did" Without another word KJ left the room and trudges up the stairs to their room

The girls not knowing what is happening where enjoying their Family day, all but the twins who where in a heated discussion with their aunt

"You abandoned us!" Owyn snapped at their aunt, she just nodded she knew what she did, but she knew it was for the best the girl get help, besides, she couldn't raise them

"I know owyn and I am so sorry... I should have been there, but I was grieving the loss of my sister and then you girls just had so much... I couldn't raise you I had no choice" She tells them, she reaches out but both girls flinch away

"We needed you" Katelyn's voice cracks as she says this, she wanted to forgive her aunt but at the same time she left them when they needed her the most

"I'm sorry girls... I should have done better" The girls exchange looks; they want nothing more then to have there aunt in there life but its to much right now

"We just need time Aunt Jacky..." Katelyn told her with a small smile, there aunt nodded

"I will be here next family day, I promise" She tells them before she leaves the girls watch her leave before exchanging looks, they both just nod and turn making their way back up to there room while the other girls talked to there parents

"Mum, dad" Scarlett says as she sits at the table her parents and sisters where sitting at

"Scarlett! How are you hunny?" Her mother says sitting up straighter happy to see her daughter, this has Scarlett rolling her eyes now they care whatever

"Hi Cherry... Martha" Scarlett mumbled acknowledging her sisters who where on there phones not really paying her any mind

"Hey Scarlett" Both of them say and then it goes silent

"Uh how are you doing?" Her dad asked breaking the silence as he looked around, curious on how a place could look so bad on the outside but nice on the inside

"Uh great? So great maybe you could sign me out early?" Scarlett asked hopefully but the look on her parents' face said otherwise, well at least she tried

"Sweetie we would love to its just, you have to be here at least 3 months" Scarlett just nods as she fiddles with her fingers

"How are you fairing with the other kids here?" Her mother asked and Scarlett smiled slightly

"I made some friends; with the girls I am rooming with" Her parents nod

"I'm glad your making friends, and uh how is everything else like with therapy?" Her dad asked her, they where trying to be more into their daughter's life. Like they promised they wanted to be better parents

"Its well, I only had maybe 2 or 3 appointments, its just basics" She tells them, and they nod

"Uhm, how are you guys?" Scarlett asked her parents, she hated how awkward it was between them, from afar she noticed how happy Emilia and her dad looked, and how much Ramisa and her brother where having fun, meanwhile her parents and her couldn't even make eye contact!

"We are okay, works been hectic its quiet without you home... singing your heart out" Her mom tells her and Scarlett just nods

"I bet" She told them before sighing, she was over this now it was to awkward for her, she knew it would be like this but god it was boring her to death, she had to get out of this situation

"I am going to head back to the room okay. Thanks for coming" She tells them standing up, her mother quickly pulls her daughter in for a hug, Scarlett smiles slighting and hugs her back before pulling away

"We love you Scarlett, we will be back next family day promise" Scarlett nods and turns leaving the family room, she quickly wipes away her tears no she will NOT cry over her family, that's NOT happening, she walks up the stairs and enters the room, she stops seeing KJ on the floor with some plushies, she's talking to herself almost acting out a skit with them. I walk over and sit down on the floor with her

"Hey... uh lily, right?" she vaguely remembers the girls mentioning it, Lily is 5 years old and loves plushies and playing games, the others call her 'Princess' lily because she loves princesses and wants to be one

"Hi! Who are you?" Lily asked her setting down a plushie, as she looked at Scarlett, curiosity filled her eyes

"I'm Scarlett, do you want someone to play with?" Lily smiled happily and handed her some plushies, the two girls played the whole 3 hours before the others arrived, who all joined in with one big skit, they laughed and smiled today may have started bad but it was slowly ending on a good note, and they all where enjoying themselves, pillows where thrown and laughter rang through the room, outside the door Caitlin and B smiled, they wanted to check in knowing sometimes family day can be rough but the laughter was there answer as they turned and left.

Hewwo sorry this took forever to get out, I am currently writing more books then originally planned and forgot to get this out but here is pt. 2 to family day, I hope you all are having an amazing day or night.
