The Tunnels We Go...

Nina's POV

Once I reached my room, I locked the door and broke down....

How am I suppose to search for the mask for TWO people?!

What if Fabian or anyone finds out about Rufus?

-And to make matters worse....I have to LIE to keep this a secret....or I don't know what will happen....

I quickly wiped the tears away and got changed into an old blue jumper, some faded skinny jeans and white Vans. I let my hair down and brushed it then went into the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth.....

1:30pm

After freshening up I grabbed my phone and headed down stairs and entered the living room.

"Hey Neens" Fabian smiled, walking in and sitting next to me on the couch

He had changed out of his pyjamas and was wearing some blue skinny jeans, black trainers, a red checkered shirt and a black t-shirt

"Hey" I smiled back

"So where were you last night. Me and Amber searched everywhere for you - but we couldn't find you anywhere" Fabian asked

Oh no!

"I uh....was following Victor around. I wanted to see if he was up to something....turns out he's not" I lied

"Oh, ok" Fabian smiled weakly

Fabian's POV

"Oh, ok" I smiled weakly

I knew she was lying. She's forgetting I know when she lies....and we've dated.

"So, what of you want to do?" I asked

"I don't mind" Nina shrugged

Her stomach rumbled and I laughed lightly

"Hungry?" I smirked

"Little bit" she answered with a blush

I jumped up from the couch and walked into the kitchen and started getting out ingredients to make pancakes

Nina followed me and sat on the counter by the sink. I turned to face her and smiled

God she's pretty....

"What are you staring at?" Nina asked, a blush still remaining on her cheeks

I looked away and blushed

"Nothing....just....nothing" I huffed

I grabbed the frying pan off the stove and started flipping the pancakes. Nina giggled at me as I nearly dropped one on the floor and I put them on a plate and grabbed the syrup and did little swirls on it and handed her the plate

"For you m'lady" I smirked, bowing slightly

She took the plate with a smile and said:

"Thank you my fine Prince"

We both laughed and Nina jumped off the counter and sat at the kitchen table and ate the two pancakes

I sat next to her, in my usual seat and we talked about the next task in the tunnels....

"I know how we can get across the chasm!" Nina smiled

"Me too" I smiled back

Nina frowned at me and I explained

"Last night when I went to find you, I entered the Library and saw that picture of the Egyptians and underneath them was a crocodile"

"Yeah, that's what I saw" Nina smiled again

She finished and we decided to head down there and see if we could find this crocodile....
