But You Wouldn't

I spill my heart out on a page
But you wouldn't get it
Wrapped up in the hum of "understanding"
But just as quickly forget it

I broke my heart to fix yours
But you wouldn't know it
Then you give me a piece back
Of mine just to show it

I hide you from reality
But you wouldn't see it
You look at my past and enjoy
At the same time I try to flee it

I keep my tears bottled up
But you could never find them
They lie in the very place
That my smiles try to bind them
