We got to this alleyway, getting out, we walked to this comic place.
Henry said" What's going on here? No."
Dean said" All right, well, this was enlightening. Let's hit the road, huh?"
Sam said" Give him a minute, Dean."
" We just spent four hours driving, okay? All he did was stare out the window and request Pat Boone on the radio. He had his time."
Henry said" It's just a facade, a way to rook our enemies into believing we are housed elsewhere."
" Okay, enough with the decoder talk. How about you tell us what this whole men of letters business is, or you're on your own?"
" It's none of your concern."
" Why, because we're hunters? What do you have against us?"
" Aside from the unthinking, unwashed, shoot first and don't bother to ask questions later part. Not much, really."
Sam said" You know what? Wait a second. We're also John's children."
" You're more than that, actually. My father and his father before him were both men of letters. As John and you three should have been. We're preceptors, beholders, chroniclers of all that which man does not understand. We share our findings with a few trusted hunters- the very elite. They do the rest."
Dean said" So you're like yodas to our jedis. Never mind. You'll get there."
Sam said" Okay, but if you guys were such a big deal, then why haven't we- or anyone we know- ever heard of you?"
Henry said" Abbadon." He went into the store, we followed him,
" Henry. Why? Why'd she do it?"
" I think for this." He held up a box of sorts, I think,
" Okay, what's that?"
" I wish I knew. Abbadon attacked us the night of my final initiation. All secrets were to be revealed then."
Dean said" Let me get this straight. You traveled through time to protect something that does you don't know what from demon that you know nothing about?" Henry walked away, I looked at Sam and Dean," Good."

We walked into a room,
Henry said" Hand me your... walkie-talkie."
Sam said" You mean my phone?"
" Even better. Operator, I need Delta 457."
Dean and I said" Who are you not calling?"
" Our emergency number."
" Yeah. Not anymore." Dean took Sam's phone back, Sam grabbed it from him.
" They can't all be gone. There must be another elder our there who can help us figure out how to stop Abbadon and what to do with the box." I patted Sam and Dean's shoulders, before walking up to the girl at the front desk.
I said" Hi, can we hijack your computer for a hot second?"
" Like you could fit a computer in this room."
I compelled" Please?"
The girl said" Sure." She turned away, I smiled,
I said" Sammy." I turned the laptop to him,
Sam said" Yep. All right, um... give me a name- anybody who, uh, might have been there that night- one of those elders."
Henry said" Um... Ackers, David. Larry Ganem. Um..."
" Okay, here it is. Um, August 12th, 1958. Tragic fire at gentleman's club. Uh, 242 Gaines street."
" This is 242 Gaines street... but that was no fire."
" Larry Ganem, David Ackers, Ted Bowen, and Albert Magnus- all deceased."
" Albert Magnus-"
Dean said" He a friend of yours?"
" Even better."
——
We got out a graveyard, getting out and walking to the gravestones of Henry's friends.
Henry said" These were my friends, my mentors, our last defense against the Abbadons of the world."
Dean said" Here's your buddy Albert Magnus."
" Albertus Magnus. And he was hardly a buddy. He was the greatest alchemist of the middle ages."
Sam said" Okay, so why is he buried here?"
" He's not. His was the alias we'd use when going incognito. I believe someone planted his name in that article... so that if a man of letters came looking for answers, he'd know something was amiss."
" So someone wanted you to come to this grave."
" The question is why."
Dean said" What is this?"
" Our crest. The aquarian star, representing great magic and power. They say it stood at the gates of atlantis itself. Hmm."
I said" It's on all the tombstones except for this one- uh, Larry Ganem."
" The Haitian symbol for speaking to the dead. This is the message. You boys ever exhume a body?" He looked at us, we looked at each other,
I said" I'll get the shovels." I dropped my head and started walking back to the car, I yawned, water-porting me and Sam was way too much energy for me to use right now. I turned my hand, unlocking the back and the water moved the shovels to me. I closed the back and grabbed the shovels, walking back to my brothers quickly.
I was zoning out of pills, I needed to sleep but if I can't sleep, I take a few pills to ease the pain.
I heard Dean say" Hey! Key! Is he even on the planet?" Then I was hit a shovel,
I said" Ow, bitch!"
" Cover it back up."
" With you in it? 'Cause I'd be so happy to do that." He tried to hit me with the shovel again, I rolled out of his reach. They got up, I lifted the top of the casket up and placed it back down, I moved my eyes and water surrounded the dirt pile and moved onto the hole. I smoothed it out and dried it," See how quick that was, should have just let me do it in first place."

I groaned as someone slapped my face, someone being the only brother idiotic enough to slap my face while I'm sleeping, Dean... I stopped his hand with water,
He said" Hey, stumble to a bed, if you fall I laugh."
Sam said" He's weak, Dean. He pulled me and himself out the door, water-porting us."
" All right, let's get him out of the car." My arms were grabbed and I was pulled out, my feet gained balance easily and I stumbled into a motel room they were leading me to. I fell onto a bed, which only pushed me deeper into sleep.
——
I woke up when I felt something off about Sam, I water-ported to him and saw Abbadon. I hissed, shifted, she tried to punch me, I dodged her and threw her into the wall, I screeched, she was stuck to the wall. I stopped screeching and ran for her, I punched her gut then she punched the side of my head, I fell, hitting the wood even harder, everything turned black.

My hands were tied and my mouth duck-taped, Dean and Henry walked in.
Dean said" Abbadon, I'll send Henry here over with the box. You do the same with Sam and Keir. No tricks."
Abbadon said" My only interest is Henry and the key. You three are free to go." Henry didn't move,
" You can do this standing, or you can do it crawling. Your call." Henry started walking, we walked too,
Sam said" Henry, I'm sorry."
Henry said" Save it." We walked to Dean,
" Don't do this, Dean. This is a bad idea."
Dean said" Shut your mouth. Let's go." Dean cut us loose, I pulled the tape off my mouth," Come on." The doors closed on us," We had a deal!"
Abbadon said" Surprise. I lied." She stuck her hand into Henry,
Sam said" Henry!"
Dean said" Wait, wait."
Henry said" You're not the only one." He shot Abbadon,
She said" Whoa! What a blast. Now, give me the box." She pulled out a card box," Where is it?! Okay. We can do this the hard away." She pushed Henry down," Why am I stuck?" Sam ran to Henry," You still didn't kill me."
Dean said" No, but you'll wish we did." He sliced her head off," That demon trap in your noggin is gonna keep you from smoking out. We're gonna cut you into little steaks and bury each strip under cement. You might mot be dead, but you'll wish you were."
Henry said" We did it."
" No, you did it. For a bookworm, that wasn't bad, Henry."
" I'm sorry I judged you three so harshly for being hunters. I should have known better."
Sam said" About?"
" You're also Winchesters. As long as we're alive, there's always hope. I didnt know my son as a man, but having met you three... I know I would have been proud of him." He died, Sam and Dean looked at each other.

They buried him,
Sam said" I get it now."
Dean said" Hmm?"
" What cupid said about Heaven busting ass to get mom and dad together. The Winchesters and the Campbells- the brains and the brawn."
" Well, I'm glad you see it. All I see in our family tree is a whole lot of dead. Hey, I, uh... found this in Henry's wallet."
" Dad looks happy."
" Kind of makes you wish he knew the truth, huh? I mean, all those years thinking his old man ditched when the poor son of a bitch really came here and saved our bacon. Freaking time-travel, man."
" You think it would have made a difference?"
" What?"
" Dad. If he'd had his own father around."
" What, in how he raised us? Sammy, he did the best he could." I felt the pain, I water-ported away from them quickly.
I landed a few miles away from them, I puked up water onto the side of the road. I held my stomach, I'm gonna protect my brothers until I can't... until I'm dead. Which will happen sooner or later....
