☁️Izuku Midoriya x Reader: Swimming

Happy Birthday Izuku!!! This oneshot doesn't take place on his birthday just so you know.
The reader doesn't know how to swim in this.

Your POV

Izuku and I walked to his house hand in hand.

"Hey babe, you want to go swimming? My mom just got a pool." He smiled looking at me.

I internally panicked. I couldn't swim.

"U-um sure!" I answered composing my expression.

When we got to his house he took his bag off and hung it on the coat rack, before taking mine as well and running off to his room.

He came back a minute later holding a swim suit.

"U-um I bought you this, I think you'll look nice in it. N-no, you'll look better than nice!" He blushed handing the (F/C) suit to me.

"Thank you Izuku!" I smiled taking it from him and walking to the bathroom. He went off to change into swim trunks in his room.

I felt a little insecure walking outside, but once I saw Izuku I smile and ran over.

"Y-you look amazing!" Izuku turned bright red.

"Thanks," I giggled. He smiled and took my hand, pulling me up onto the deck.

He giggled and playfully pushed me into the pool. Now, that wouldn't be to much of a problem, BUT IT WAS A DEEP POOL AND I COULDN'T SWIM-

I gasped as I fell backward off the deck. The cold water pulled me in once I hit the surface. I scrambled around trying to get upright, hoping that the water was shallow enough that I could touch the bottom while still being over the surface.

But to my disappointment, it was too deep for that. I think it was about 8 feet deep. I waved my arms around me, trying to see if I was near the side of the pool. But I wasn't. I was smack dab in the middle of the pool.

My head was getting dizzy from the lack of oxygen.

"(Y/N)?" I heard a worried, quiet voice say from above. My back hit the bottom and right before I opened my mouth I heard a splash and a pair of strong arms hoist me up and bring me to the surface.

A thought popped into my head for payback and I quickly took a deep breath before not breathing anymore.

"Crap they're not breathing! Umm oh yeah CPR!" Izuku said.

So there I was. Making Izuku worried while technically getting a kiss from him. Even though he thinks it's just to save my life. His fault for pushing me in.

And then a small voice in my head was like "Boy you never told him you couldn't swim stop worrying him."

Oh yeah. I guess the voice is right. Shit now I feel bad.

I opened my eyes and took a deep breath, sitting up. Izuku smiled and sighed in relief. He leaped onto me, knocking me back down, and holding me close to him in a tight hug.

"(Y/N)... how come you didn't tell me you couldn't swim? I am so so sorry! I didn't know! I would've asked but I assumed that you already knew how when you accepted my offer. However you did look a little off and your voice seemed different when you answered so maybe you were nervous and you didn't tell me because-" He started muttering, a habit that lots of people find annoying, however I think its adorable.

"Izuku, it's fine. I didn't tell you because I thought you'd think less of me. Sorry." I said sheepishly.

He let go of me, standing up, before pulling me up.

"(Y/N) I'd never think less of you, for anything. You're perfect. You're my angel." He said caressing my face. I kissed him on the cheek once to make him flustered.

Sure enough, that's what happened. He turned bright red.

"W-well anyway... I can teach you how to swim!" He smiled, a blush still prominent on his face.

"Really!?" I yelled excitedly. He nodded, smiling before jumping into the water.

"Hey, jump in! I'll catch you!" He yelled. I blushed but nodded.

I shakily stepped towards the edge of the pool and looked at him. He was smiling. Which made me smile.

So I closed my eyes and jumped into the water. Before I went all the way under the surface Izuku caught me. I looked up at his sparkling green eyes, smiling.

After a long day of almost drowning, I had finished changing and was standing at the doorway, saying goodbye.

"Goodbye (Y/N), I love you, don't ever forget that " Izuku whispered in your ear while hugging you.

"Love you too..." I sighed hugging him back before stepping away.

He smiled at me before beginning to shut the door.

"Wait!" I yelled. He stopped and looked at me confused.

"Ineveractuallyneededcpritwasjustpaybackokbye!!!!" I yelled fast before running. I heard a chuckle behind me before the sound of a door closing.
