Wysteria remembered the night like no other, she was helpless in the streets. All alone, hungry and quite frankly tired of the world.

She's had the hard-knock life from the moment she could comprehend anything and she was even outed from the orphanage that took her in.

She was unable to make friends with any of the other children and for some reason, she gave the adults a fright because apparently at night, she would mumble these strange things when asleep.

It was then which led to one day when Wysteria found herself one evening with an ice cream cone in hand and one of the caretakers next to her.

"I will be back," The caretaker said distantly as they placed her on a bench.

At the time Wysteria was too focused on her sweet treat to notice the adult quickly run through the crowd without looking back.

By the time she was finished with her cone, Wysteria wiped her sticky hands on her shirt. She turned up only noticing that the streets were slowly emptying and all that was left was the echoed sounds of the nightlife taking over.

The adults around were too focused on themselves to notice her and Wysteria remained on the bench dangling her feet.

A yawn escaped her lips, making her desperation grow each second as she scanned the streets unable to find the caretaker.

Soon enough, she jumped off the bench and as she clutched her blouse, she felt a drop on her cheek. Wysteria peered up feeling the droplets of water increase and before she knew it, she was running to get out of the downfall.

Wysteria did not take long to find a dark alleyway that had a few roof overhangs, so she took advantage of it and shielded herself from getting anymore drenched than she already was.

She wrapped her arms around herself as she leaned on the decaying brick wall behind her. She looked towards her feet and slowly slid down the wall and a whimper escaped her lips.

It was freezing out and she was in a dark alley that clearly was the worst place to be at during the time of night. Her eyes focused on the surroundings and her body started to shiver from the realization of her situation.

She slowly closed her eyes feeling fatigued from not only running but from the cold enveloping her small body.

At the rate of the drizzle and the temperature only lowering each minute, there was no way that Wysteria would be able to live through it.

She was already weak as it is without the proper health care she did not receive from the orphanage and unlike the other children—she did not get the same treatment of new clothes or fresh meals.

It was absolutely unfair, but it was just how besmirched the facility was, to begin with.

"I don't want to die," Wysteria said through her lips that were slowly turning blue," Please, I really don't want to die"

Wysteria mumbled the strange words that comforted her and as she repeated it over and over—the sound of heavy footsteps soon filled her ears.

She was barely able to make out the figure that slowly came to her direction.

"You are gonna die, kid" Wysteria furrowed her brows as a pair of black boots came into her vision. She slowly turned up and swayed from the weakness taking over, for a split second she swore she saw the person before her have glowing eyes.

"...don't...wanna...die" She said lastly before giving a look of willpower to the person before her.

"Lucifer is going to kill me and if he does, I am going to come back and haunt ya"
