Part 4

I turn around, I feel bad but something is telling me I shouldn't.

I sigh and continue walking, I spot Joey sitting at the benches with a group of friends.

Is it really true what Allison said to me?, I think to myself.

I think again, No, she only said that because she's jealous. But jealous of what?

That Joey and I might end up together If we confess our feelings to each other, if he even has any towards me. Doubt that because we don't know each other.

But why did she force it on me? Maybe she likes him or maybe she was one of those "girls that Joey's played and slept with"

I shove my subconscious thoughts away and sit down at the tables. I pull out my phone from my pocket and scroll through Instagram, a picture of Allison pops up on my feed and I scroll right past it.

The bell rings and it's time to head to class, Tessa and I both have the same period so maybe I can talk to her since nobody else really knows me there?

I head to class and walk in, there she is. She's sitting in the back row and I make my way to the back of the classroom.

Tessa smiles at me, "Hey"

I sit right beside her,"Hey"

The teacher walks in with a salad bowl and places it down on her desk, "Turn to page 225, today you will be in groups of 5. In a bit I'll assign everyone a group that you'll have to discuss notes with"

We take out or textbooks and turn to the page, we read silently until she starts handing out names of people who will be in our group.

She gets to me and gives me a set of names, "Tessa, John, Hailey, and Lucas"

I look at Tessa, "Yay we're in the same group!"

I smile and the others sit beside us, it gets awkwardly quiet until Tessa breaks the silence.

"Let's all introduce ourselves!", she says.

Tessa smiles and starts,"First up, my name is Tessa, you can call me Tess or Tessa. Both are fine with me"

She looks at me and waits for me to say something, "My name is Lauren, I usually go by Laurie but either is okay"

They smile and someone else speaks, "I'm Hailey, nice to meet you. I'm very cool and easy to get along with"

"My name is Lucas but you can call me Luke", he says.

"Last but not least, I'm John", he laughs.

"Okay now that we all introduced ourselves, let's get right to reading these notes", Tessa says.

We take out our notes and take turns reading off of them

"Chapter five", Hailey says and reads off the facts from the chapter.

She finishes reading off the chapter and we continue taking turns

I soon start to doze off and can't stop thinking about the argument Ally and I had earlier.

"He's the schools bad boy!"
