Chapter 4

The picture that was posted was of Alex and I in our swimsuits, I borrowed one of Brooke's swimsuits because I was not expecting a beach trip.Alex was in front of me and I was behind him with my arms around his chest, not gonna lie it was a cute photo but the comments were filled with"I ship it" "who is she?" "Did Alex finally get a girlfriend" Like we were just close friends, it didn't bother me that they were saying that because it's their opinion and I wasn't going to let it ruin my day at the beach, everybody else was swimming in the ocean but I wasn't I was sat on the edge of a cliff watching them all have fun when I spot a coffee shop so I decided to go grab a coffee, no one would notice I was gone. I stayed in the store to drink my coffee, around 5 mins later Alex, Thomas and Willow come in to get a drink, I don't think they noticed me. As they were ordering mine and Alex's eyes lock on each other. They grab their drinks and Thomas and Willow made there way back to the beach while Alex stays behind to quickly take a phone call, I made my way to the counter to put my coffee cup in the bin and Alex approaches me "hey, I can't stay away from you!" he says " Alexwhat are you talking about?" I question, we are close friends why is he telling me this, he knows I have a boyfriend back home, Hunter he's a senior in high school "You're our new photographer which means you are going to see me a lot more than you want to" In all fairness he wasn't wrong but I didn't like the way he was acting, he seemed different, "Sage, I need to show you something" He says, this got me thinking what had gotten into him, but I would be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued "Then show me" he gave me a weird look, did he not have anything to show me "It's a place" After how he been acting today do I want to go with him? "I wish I could be I have a lot of studying to do, I'll think about it and tell you my answer later on when we all get back to the studio! I didn't actually have anything to study for I was just trying not to be rude, but I really was going to think about his offer, I headed back to the beach to join the group, everybody was starting to get out of the ocean but a few stayed in: Joe, Luke, and Brooke, Brooke kept begging me to get into the water so eventually I gave in to her and got in, not fully just up to my waist. It was freezing "Go all the way under then it gets warmer," Joe tells me, I trust Brooke more all the people around me "Does it really work Brooke?" "Yes, sometimes" I didn't want to seem like a chicken so I took my chances, it helped a little but I was still a little bit cold, and because it didn't fully work I sent a massive wave in Joe's direction to get back at him for making me do that. I didn't feel bad at all "Game on Sage!" Joe says with saltwater in his mouth, oh no what I have just started, a splash war maybe. " Sage, I need to tell you something" Joe whispers slowly walking to me. When he got close enough he started rapidly splashing me, he deserved what I did next. Starr and I were making a plan on the way here if anything like this happened while we were here. It was payback time! I jumped onto Joe's back in a piggyback position, holding him I place so he couldn't move "GET HIM BROOKE" She was sending huge waves at him as her life depended on it, she really wasn't stopping. I let him go because Brooke was not going to stop and I was starting to feel bad for him. At that point, we all turned against each other, splashing each other, there were no teams anymore, it felt like you had a constant sprinkler in your face, it's a dirty free for all nobody was safe. After what felt like a 2v1 battle royale! We all got tired out after like 10 minutes and called a truce. We then got ready to leave and dried off, I didn't want to leave that was the most fun I've had in a very long time. Oh, and did I mention that Willow was recording our whole ocean battle, which I didn't mind because I would've have done the same thing. We all got back in the cars and headed to the studio where ice cream was waiting for us, another one of Joe's surprises, I didn't think this day could go downhill because today was one of the funniest days of my life, then I remembered about Alex and had an instant mood change. Everybody left the studio and i stayed back for a while to edit the photos I'd taken at the beach, I finished up and drove to Alex's house! I arrived and started repeatedly ringing his doorbell, so he would come quicker. He opens the door "Sage? I wasn't expecting you to be here, what's up" he sounded shocked to see me, I did say i would come to him later we an answer, did he not think I would come! "If you still want to show me that place, then let's go!" he didn't say anything after that he ran to grab his car keys, we both got in his car, I offered to drive but he insisted. We started to drive and I did not recognize where we were I had never seen this place before!
