"Will you marry me?"
I looked down at the man before me, down on one knee, offering me an open box with a classic golden ring in it. Staring up at me, his eyes full of hope and anticipation. I felt the cool metal of the ring burn against my chest as it hung from the gold chain that I had concealed underneath my dress. The park, despite being beautiful, was empty. There was no one around, there wasn't even seem to be a single animal in the vicinity either. Once again I was alone. I looked back down at the man before me, still waiting patiently for my answer. To him, it looked as though I placed my hand over my heart, however I was actually pushing down on the ring for a little reassurance. I knew that if I said yes, I wouldn't be alone anymore, but I felt that if I did, I would be betraying him.
'He didn't hesitate on betraying you' my mind whispered to me. As much as I wished it wasn't, I knew that my mind was right. My memory didn't stop him, why should his memory stop me?
"Yes." I answered slowly "I will marry you."
