Glory's POV
Glory was excited for school. She got to see her best friends. But also, because her little sister Lilac was attending this year.
Glory was staying with her best friend, Sunny, and her mom, Thorn.
Thorn was always kind to Sunny's friends. She let Glory in without hesitation. Sunny was so much like Thorn. She was kind and funny. And was always there for her.
Glory wanted to be early. She wanted to be able to catch up with Lilac.
"Sunny! Let's go!" Glory called.
"But it's so early!" Sunny said back.
Oh right, Glory thought, I'm not supposed to tell anyone about Lilac's arrival.
"I just want to be early! So there won't be as many people!" Glory said.
"OK," Sunny told her.
They ran down the stairs, and quickly shoved toast into their mouths.
"Well you girls are in a hurry," Thorn chuckled.
"Yeah. I don't want many fans there when I arrive," Glory said.
"Understandable," Thorn said. "Have a good day."
"Rich people problems," Sunny commented as they walked out the door. Glory rolled her eyes at her bestie as they walked to school.
