Now I know that Nico is not a beach kinda person, but just read the story. This a mortal AU, so enjoy.

The beach. Yup. Just the place I want to be on a perfectly FREE Sunday that I had. But of course, I got dragged along because of two idiotic people - Perseus Freaking Jackson and Jason Fucking Grace. Those two were the most idiotic people my entire life(Did I mention that?) Surprisingly, I went along with them.

Now, being an writer, I rarely had any free time. It's not that I don't like my job, it's just, everyone deserves a break once in a while. But my idea of a break is... different. It involves lazing around all day in a hoodie with a bunch of happy meals while watching horror movies. I'm weird that way. Don't judge.

I was being tagged along with Percy and his girlfriend, Annabeth, Jason and his girl, Piper, Leo, Hazel, Frank and another girl named Calypso, who Leo supposedly had a huge crush on. They weren't the PERFECT group but they were my real friends.

They supported me when I told them I was gay and were always on the look out for a boyfriend for me, which got very embarrassing in public.

At least the trip to the beach was little bit relaxing. The first chance I got I plugged in my earphones and listened to Panic! At The Disco on full volume.

I turned my gaze towards my friends. Percy drove while Annabeth had her hand out the window. Percy seemed like a normal guy now. Not someone who I'd been interested two years ago.

Jason and Piper were huddled up together in a blanket, Hazel and Frank were listening to music on some headphones while Leo being Leo, was flirting with Calypso. But I saw her blush a bit when Leo said something, so I felt happy for him. I decided to take a nap.

I dreamed of the usual, my mother looking down at me with a kindly expression. My sister looking at me with a pleasing expression, her yelling, "Go!" as I took one last look at her.

Tears started forming in my eyes. Thank god I was in the back. I let my tears flow more freely as I cried myself to sleep.

*Time Skip cuz I'm lazy. Deal with it*

"Neeks! We're heree!" I heard a sing-song voice in my ear. I jerked up and headbutted Jason right in the face.

"What did I tell you about the nicknames, Grace?" I practically growled. He just gulped and raised his hands in surrender,"Okay. Jeez. Don't be so dramatic". I got out of the SUV. I grabbed my backpack and walked on to the beach. I was wearing a simple black T-Shirt, some black denim shorts and a pair of flip flops.

The sun was unnaturally warm on my pale skin. I saw a couple of boys and girls playing volleyball on the beach near the water. I also saw a few beach towels with people sunbathing on them scattered here and there. I spotted my friends goofing around, laughing at each other as they played with the sand. I sighed and plopped down onto one of the chairs that they had set up.

Their plan was the boys would go surfing and the girls would chat up while sunbathing. Since I wanted to do neither, I pulled my chair further away from them and sat down. I removed by shirt and tossed on the sand. It felt like a thousand of heat had cooled off my body. Well that's probably because it actually did. I pulled out a book. Yes, a book. I continued reading my book until I heard someone tell "LOOK OUT!". Then a huge ball hit me... right on my face.

So.. how was it? Not bad I'm guessing? Anyway, this will be part one of the gods know how many parts, so yeah. Can you guess who the MYSTERY person is?
