The rain was starting to let up, and I saw someone I knew.

"Hey, Brooke!" I yelled as loud as I could.

"Paris? Why do you have your cats on leashes, and why are they soaking wet?" she questioned me.

"Long story."

"I'm pretty sure we have time."

So, we started walking towards the bridge. It took us forty-five minutes to get back to my street. Brooke parted ways with me to go find Tommy.

I was alone, again. I thought about Chris and where he was. I was hoping he was safe. I wondered if we would see each other again. I didn't really have a hope. Then again, I didn't have hope he was safe, but it turned out he was. Maybe we would see each other.

When we got to that bridge, it, too, was broken down. Luckily, the bridge wasn't over water, and I was able to walk over it. I saw a bunch of evacuees going in the direction and none going in the opposite, I decided to slow dwn and just walk. My ats thanked me for that when I got too tired I stopped and ate a little bit and fed my cats. They praised me for that too. Athe time Brooke and I parted, it tookme two hours to get to the bridge that was over the water. It was also crumbled in the river. The good thing was a man with a boat helped people get to the other side. How kind, I thought.

It was now around six thirty, and I had no idea where I was going. I thought I was going to get lost till I saw te familiar face I had been hoping to see.

"Mom! You're okay, and you brought my brother," I ran to her and gave her a hug.

"You brought the cats? That's so nice of you. And I waited here because I knew you would know I took this bridge instead of the other. And I decided to beat the rush and wait across the bridge. Ready to go to Carly's?"

"Yes."

When we got to my sister's it was ten o' clock. She was baffled when she saw us and the cats. We explained everything, each side of our stories. She gave us dinner and let us stay at her house for as long as we could.

I realized through this whole experience how fragile life is. I wanted to believe that no one died from this, but I knew that was unlikely.

"What do you think did it?" My sister asked us, curious.

"I don't know," my mother and brother said simultaneously.

"I think it was a bomb. Maybe something like the atomic bomb. I read a book about the bombing of Hiroshima in English class and everything was the same; The wreckage, the spontaneous fired, and the burns. But, that is just a theory," I said very knowingly.

"All I know is that I am happy you three are safe, and the cats," my sister laughed at me bringing the cats along.

We all exchanged 'I love you' and slept for the rest of the night. I fell asleep thinking about Chriss. I knew he was safe.
