Blind Love

Chapter 7: Confession

       "Come on Starflight you can do this" Starflight said as he paced in the back of the library, he was mustering up the courage to tell Sunny to go out with him. He never knew this until recently when Fatespeaker and him had a talk about feeling and that he had weird feelings around Sunny.

Flashback....

       Starflight and Fatespeaker were just cleaning up from the previous group of dragonets that had came in and read scrolls. As they were cleaning Fatespeaker decided to bring up a topic. "So Starflight you and Sunny you are good friends aren't you? Maybe even more?" Fatespeaker said smirking at the blind Nightwing. "What are you talking about? Were just friends" Starflight said looking at where he heard Fatespeaker's voice. "Oh come on I know the way you 2 act around each other. You can't deny you have feelings for that Sandwing" Fatespeaker said with a smile. "Well I have been having strange feelings for a while and I've been thinking on what it is. I guess I am in love with her but I'm not sure" Starflight said looking away.

End of flashback

       "Ok I can do this come on Starflight it's not hard it's just asking out a girl..... a girl that you have a crush on oh why is it so difficult!!" Starflight yelled. "What is?" A familiar voice said from behind Starflight, he whipped his head towards Sunny who had her head to the side confused. "Oh Sunny um- I was Uh.... uh just- uh th-thinking of how to make scrolls easy to read for people to read" Starflight said a nervous wreck. "Oh well I can help you out with that!" Sunny said with a smile and walked over. "No you can't!" Starflight basically shouted, Sunny winced away feeling slightly hurt, Starflight sighed and looked back at Sunny.

       "I'm sorry it's just Im feeling with tough feelings and it's hard to overcome" Starflight day down covering his face in his talons. "Hey it's ok whatever feelings you have we can get through with it" Starflight looked at Sunny who smiled warmly and rested her head on his shoulder and sighed happily. "Hey Sunny?" Starflight said looking down at her and she hummed a yes in response not looking up. "I was wondering if you would like to go out with me" Starflight said blushing. Sunny looked up with bewilderment, "of course I would love to" Sunny said and smiled getting up. "What time?" Sunny said cocking her head to the side, "how about as the sun is setting the heights point on the mountain?" Starflight said also getting up.

       "That's perfect" Sunny said smiling and left the library leaving a Starflight with a huge goofy grin. Starflight stumbles at points trying to get to the door, he had to look nice if he wanted to impress Sunny. When he got to his sleeping cave he looked under his bead to find his bracelet he wore to the school dance. He put it on his arm in the middle between his elbow and his wrist. He smiled even though he couldn't see it he was still pleased, he left the cave seeing as it was almost sundown. "Huh that's coincidental" Starflight said and he exited the mountain and kept into the air flying around trying to spot the highest point. Soon enough he didn't see it. He crashed into it, he got up grunting. "You made it on your own!" Sunny said bounding up and hugged him fiercely, "that I did" Starflight said hugging back.

"Come on I have the perfect view to watch the sunset!" Sunny said and dragged Starflight over to a ledge looking over a forest. The sun shimmered making a nice orange, yellow, and purple glow on the area and making Sunny glow like gold. Starflight smiled and breathed in the air. "Hey Sunny I have a confession to make" Starflight said looking at Sunny who looked back at him in return. "Yes Starflight?" Sunny's voice was like a voice that couldn't get worse it just got worse as she matured. "I had these feelings for a while and it's ok if you don't feel the same but I just want to say that I love you" Starflight then blushed madly and looked away.

Sunny was in bewilderment and then smiled grabbing his talon and squeezed them, Starflight looked back at her with a shocked face. "I feel the same way. You are smart, kind, a good heart and you use your smartness for the good of dragon-kind (is that how you would say it?) and you are just an overall bookworm" Sunny said and locked lips with Starflight who had wide eyes but eases into it. As they pulled away Sunny looked at Starflight and smiled along with him, Sunny rested her head on his shoulder and they fell asleep under the starry night. They now conquered a Blind Love.
