Simeon's What!?: Part 3

It had been 2 days since Rosaline had dropped into Devildom and there had been no changes in her condition. Barbatos was able to mend her as best as he could, but her wings were a work in progress. There wasn't much they could do with them right now, they had to heal on their own. Simeon never left her side despite Lucifer, Luke, and Diavolo's efforts. He hadn't slept and refused to eat. He wanted to be there for her when she woke up, she would need him.

Rosaline began to convulse and cry out in pain. "S-simeoonn... H-help me!" she cried. Simeon shot up out of his chair. He must have fallen asleep but was woken up by his name leaving his fiance's lips. He grabbed the towel that sat in a bowl of cold water next to her bed and swiped the sweat off of her brow. "Rosie, my love. I'm here!" He cooed. He tried his hardest not to cry. He felt guilty he wasn't there to protect her. She was calling out to him, looking for him. Did she call out to him while she was being attacked? A tear rolled down his cheek. "I'm right here..."

Rosaline let out another small cry as she heard Simeon's voice cut through the pain. She could hear him but she couldn't get to him through the fog. She could see the outline of his body, his face was blurred. She tried to reach out for him, She was so close but still so far away. She wanted him. She needed him... "S-Simeon..." "I'm here, Rosie. I'm right here. I'm not going anywhere." but he was fading. She was being dragged back into the darkness. "No..." She whispered. "Come back. Simeon... Come back." She wanted to fight. She wanted to come back, but she was so tired. Everything was silent again. Rosaline went still, Simeon silently let tears fall from his face. What happened to her? Why was she in the human world alone? He always accompanied her. Was it because he was in Devildom? Was this his fault?

"Simeon... Lucifer wants to see you." Luke said softly as he entered the room. "He can come here. I'm not leaving, Luke. She needs me. She cries for me." Simeon huffed. "It's about the person who attacked Lady Rosaline. Solomon found a match." Luke explained. Simeon's eyes widened. He didn't realize the wizard's results would come back so fast. "I'll watch over Lady Rosaline, Simeon. She'll be okay. I'll keep her safe. I promise!" Simeon looked down a Luke with a soft smile, he had grown since his first year in Devildom. "Alright Luke, but if she wakes up contact me immediately! Got it??" Luke nodded.

Simeon made his way to Diavolo's study where he, Lucifer, Barbatos, and Solomon stood around the desk. They were all looking over Solomon's shoulder, concentrating on what he was doing. "Simeon, good you're here." Solomon remarked, without looking away from his work. "Found our target. A hunter named Kurt Malik. He has quite the reputation. Lucky for us he didn't live up to it this time. Looks like he's never lost a kill, until now." Simeon explained. "Heh and let me tell you, he's made a mistake there. Attacking Lady Rosaline, her landing her in Devildom. A very unlucky event for this...Malik" Diavolo spoke with a devious smirk. "Says here he resides in New York. Let's say we pay Mr. Malik a visit?" Barbatos chimed in.

The Demons and Solomon all nodded in agreement. "But... What about Rosie? I can't leave her. Not right now." Simeon sighed. His friends all looked at him confused. "Did you want to go? You know we are going to kill this guy, right? It's not going to be pretty and we aren't going to do it quickly either. We like to make things slow and painful. It'll be a violent death. Doesn't seem like your thing Sim." Lucifer pointed out. "Lucifer, he tried to kill my fiancé in cold blood! NO ONE puts their hands on Rosie!! I want to go, I want him to feel pain, I want him to suffer." Simeon's eye went dark with rage. The group of men all looked at each other in shock. They never expected Simeon to have a dark side. "Right! Well, maybe it's best if we wait for Lady Rosaline to wake up. That way we can get more information on what happened. Plus he's probably on high alert right now. If we wait a few days he may be an easier target." Solomon suggested.

While Solomon and the demons went to get ready for their journey to the human world, Simeon rushed back to be by Rosaline's side. He sent Luke back to Pugatory Hall to get some rest and to relax. He couldn't let the young angel find out about his plan to get revenge. After Luke left the room, Simeon laid in the bed next to Rosaline and began to run his fingers through her long blonde locks. "We found the person who did this to you, my love. I'm going after him and I'll make sure he pays for what he did." He vowed.

A/N: This chapter was kinda eh.... I have am idea where I wanna go but having trouble getting there. Makes since in my head. Trying to translate it to writing.
