His Queen

The hoax....

Persistent yelping can be heard outside the palace. The gang members along with the palace servants clamoured outside the palace. The continuous yelping and shrieks from outside the palace compelled the King to storm outside the palace. He dashed towards the mob who were screaming like the ghosts in the horror movies.
"What is happening here.!! " he asked in his usual scary and husky voice. One of his gang members came towards him.
"Boss see. " the man pointed his finger at the rooftop. Darting his eyes at the rooftop he found his hunchback cousin sitting on the iron railing of the roof's boundary with a bottle of whisky in his hand. He furrowed his brows as he knew it was one of his dramas.
"Hunchback what the hell is this, come down. " Samrat said with a frown. Hunchback gulped down the whisky before looking down at him.
"I am going to commit suicide. " he yelled as he tried to pull off his other leg showing that he was going to jump from the roof. The mob clamoured for him to not jump. Samrat rolled his eyes.
"Why. " samrat asked uninterested as he knew that hunchback would ne'er commit suicide.
"Because I want to marry Tara. " he yelled from the rooftop as he gulped down the whiskey. Samrat glared at him.
"Keep your mouth shut shithead and come down. Or else I will break your ugly face. " Samrat yelled at him. Nevertheless the hunchback had no effect on him.
"Brother you either marry me to Tara or else I will commit suicide." hunchback yelled as he leaned onto his left beckoning him that he will commit suicide if he won't agree to his stupid demands.
"You can commit suicide hunchback because Tara is ne'er going to be yours. " Samrat said folding his arms. Hunchback whined like a kid as he swilled down the whisky.
"You don't love me brother. I am coming god. Don't miss me too much my friends." he cried as he tried to jump off the rooftop but halted in midway.
"And brother my last wish is burn my Calvin Klein underwears with me because I love them. " he yelled as he cried like a toddler. Samrat rolled his eyes. Meantime chirag came catching the attention of the King.
"Don't worry boss I know how to handle this shithead. " chirag said as he moved forward.
"Hunchback if you want to die than go ahead. I just want to tell you that I have got Priya's number, now go ahead and commit suicide." chirag yelled catching the attention of hunchback. Hunchback's eyes twinkled as he heard what chirag said.
"What priya's number.!!! You are my true bother. I am coming down, give me the number. " he said happily as he climbed off the iron railing before running downstairs like a monkey. Samrat looked at chirag.
"Wasn't that difficult. " he said and chirag chuckled.

In the evening Samrat, hunchback and chirag stood outside the new room of the queen. They hushedly conversed with each other as the queen was inside the room and they didn't wanted the queen to hear what they were talking about.
"Hunchback you know what you have to do right. " Samrat whispered as he peeked through the door to find his lovely wife engrossed in reading a novel.
"Of course I know. " hunchback said fixing his hairs. Samrat grappled his collar making the small man gulp in fear.
"Listen you shithead, if my baby doesn't runs into my arms tonight than you can't even imagine what I will do with you. " Samrat muttered with gritted teeth. Hunchback gulped as visible beads of sweat began appearing on his forehead.
"I promise I won't create any trouble. " hunchback whined as his cousin brother released him.
"Go now. " Samrat ordered and hunchback nodded. Samrat and chirag hid behind the wall as hunchback knocked on the door. Nandini looked at the door.
"Come in. " she said as she kept the book aside on the settee. The door creeked open and hunchback came inside. Nandini smiled at him.
"Bhabhiji how are you. " he grinned as he advanced towards her halting near the settee.
"I am fine Arjuna bhaiya. How are you. " she asked with a smile oblivious that her husband and chirag were secretly peeking through the door. Hunchback cackled as he sat on the stool near her.
"I am also good. Bhabhi do you believe in ghosts. " hunchback whispered with his eyes wide open like an owl. Nandini looked at him perplexed.
"Um my brother says there are no ghosts. " she said softly. Hunchback cackled scaring the poor girl.
"He has not seen one that's why he said that. " hunchback whispered as he stared at her.
"That means you have seen a ghost. " she asked scared. Samrat looked at her through the door.
"Aww she is so adorable. " he grinned in awe and chirag rolled his eyes.
"Boss focus. " chirag reminded him.
"Yes you are right, I need to focus. " samrat said as he resumed to peek at them. Nandini on the other hand was way too scared right now. Perhaps because hunchback looked more scary apprising her about the ghost.
"I have seen a ghost. " he whispered with owl like eyes. She gasped.
"Where. " she asked scared. Hunchback cackled before replying scaring the poor girl more.
"In the palace. " he said as he stood up diverting his owl eyes all around. She gasped as she looked at him scared.
"Palace. " she whispered as the images of the ghost attacking her flashed in her mind. Hunchback turned his head to look at her looking more scary than ever. Nandini didn't knew what was more scary, the ghost or the one who was telling her about the ghost.
"Yes and her name is Sanjulika. " he said as he looked at her with his scary eyes.
"I thought it would be Manjulika. " she said scared as she gaped at him.
"No Manjulika was in Bhool Bhulaiya, she is Sanjulika. Sanjulika was a cook in this palace. She used to make the best Kheer in the palace. One day the King asked her to prepare a bowl of kheer for him. She did so but when she reached his room she found him devouring the Almond halwa made by her fellow cook. She was enraged because the King didn't ate her kheer but halwa. In extreme rage she committed suicide but not before promising that she will haunt the palace forever. Since than nobody makes kheer in the palace because if someone does than the spirit of Sanjulika forces him to eat the kheer with worms. " hunchback said slamming his hand on the glass table making her flinch back in fright. Samrat and chirag chuckled after all the plan was going smoothly. She cried as she was freaked out after hearing the story.
"Does she still haunts the palace. " she whimpered as she gaped at him.
"Yes she does. And when she will see you she will ask you whether you would like kheer or not. If you answer her with a no than she will slap you and if you answer in yes than she will feed you with kheer filled with worms. " hunchback said as his owl eyes stared at her. She sobbed as the hunchback had frightened her to the core.
"Take care bhabhi, I am going." hunchback said as he literally ran out of the room leaving a scared and sobbing nandini behind. Samrat smiled in satisfaction as hunchback came out of the room after scaring his lovely wife.
"You did a good job shithead. " Samrat said with a smile. Hunchback grinned in pride.
"Now let's wait for tonight. " chirag smiled and the other two males too.

In the night, nandini sat inside her room thinking about the ghost of Sanjulika. She was literally scared after hunchback told her about the ghost. Besides her brother had also went to Gujarat today to meet granny and he wouldn't arrive until tomorrow morning. Had he been here, she wouldn't have felt so scared but now when he isn't with her, she can't help but feel afraid. Abruptly the lights went off making her shriek in terror. She got up from the settee and looked around the gloomy room in sheer terror. She gulped as her eyes darted around the room. The images of the ghost of Sanjulika flashed in her mind giving her goosebumps. Sweat beads began to form on her forehead as her eyes gazed around the dark room. Suddenly the lights turned on and she turned back only to gasp. Infront of her was a ghost who was clothed from head to toe in white. She shrieked as she realised it was the ghost of sanjulika. She now knew that hunchback was correct and a ghost indeed haunts the palace. Howbeit oblivious to her, inside the white cloth was hunchback not sanjulika. Besides there was no Sanjulika. Nevertheless for the poor girl it was the ghost of the cook and she was scared as hell right now. She yelped loudly as the ghost started to move towards her. She jumped up and down as she screamed for help. Her hands landed on the pillow on their own. Her mind had gone blank and she couldn't process what to do. The only thing going in her mind was to hit the ghost and run outside and that's precisely what she did. She started hitting the ghost in reality the hunchback. She screamed as she continued to hit the ghost.
"Help!!!! Help!!!!. " she yelled as she hit the ghost with the pillow. Hunchback's bums had literally broke. His cousin's wife had literally made his halwa. Needless to say that he wouldn't be able to sit for a few days as his bums were just in a terrible condition. Nevertheless he was pretty confused as how a soft pillow could hurt him so much. Nandini on the other hand shrieked loudly as she tossed the pillow on the floor before running outside the room. She ran in the corridor thinking any means to escape the ghost. Her eyes landed on the door of the King's room. Without much thinking she ran towards the room and shoved the door open, fortunately it wasn't locked from inside. She entered inside the room yelping and screaming catching the attention of her husband who was lying shirtless on his bed.
"Help me!!!! Their is a ghost in my room. " she yelled in fear, jumping up and down. He inwardly chuckled.
"What their is a ghost.!!! Come here, come here.!! " he said stretching his arms faking a worried expression. She being an innocent girl didn't think much as she ran towards the bed before climbing up on the bed and quickly falling in his arms. He grinned in delight as she was finally in his arms. After all he did all this drama for her to run in his arms. He wrapped his arms protectively around her as he smiled in satisfaction.
"Oh god.!!! That ghost was so.....so frightened. " she whispered scared as she snuggled into his chest. He suppressed his chuckles as his eyes went towards the door to find a chuckling chirag and hunchback rubbing his butt. He winked at them as again his plan was successful and she was in his arms.
