Poem For The Broken

People like the stuff that's deep
What they can relate too
To them that's what speaks true

Well here's something for you
A deep poem out of the blue
Something people can actually relate too

You feel gone
Caught in this never ending cycle of lost
Maybe if you had a friend
Someone to talk to
Someone to get this pain to end.

Instead you're alone
Hoping life would just be over with..

But you have to live right?
Or that's what they say
The only problem is
It's not them feeling the pain within
It's not them battling the demons that are sure to win

So you cut
You punch
You break things
You cuss
You take your anger out on the least deserving
You bully
You abuse
You argue
You cry
Anything, as long as you stay alive

You pop pills
You get high
Drink a little
Start a fight
You harass
You go out and party
Go to a new club every night
Just trying to occupy your mind

This pain is overwhelming
But you try to fight
Maybe you will give up tonight
You know it's wrong
But it's for the best

Write your note
Prepare for the rest
How will you do it
When and where
There's a lot that goes into this
Some crosses to bear

Make a list
Who will care
Who will be happy
Who will just stare

You plan to do it
You know all the details
But when it comes time
You freeze up
You cry
You cut on your thighs
Trying to feel any ounce of pain inside
You don't want to die
You just want the pain to end

You cry out for help
But no one hears
You try to fight
but your time is near

Don't give up

Please just stay here...

I hope that was relatable
Deep enough for you
It came from the heart
I poured the truth
Maybe you felt it
