we got our food and I put it in the picnic basket.
we went to the closest beach.
once we got there we took out all the stuff and put a blanket and a beach umbrella around us.
we just sat there, talking and laughing.
eating a bit of our snacks and drinks.
you: come on let's go in the water.
ale: what about our stuff.
you: uhh go put it in the car but bring your keys.
he put all the food and our necessities in the car.
he got back and immediately grabbed my hand and pulled me into the water.
you: hold up I have to take off my clothes.
I quickly take off my clothes while running.
alex slings me over his shoulder once I'm done.
he's running with me on him and I keep smacking his back to put me down.
he still running until we reach the water.
the water is still cold it takes forever to warm up in new jersey and new york.
once the water was up to his waist he throws me in.
I squeal when the cold water touches my skin.
I swim up to the surface and I splash his face with water.
you: not funny.
he just laughs at me and splashes me back.
he likes to play games so I started a war.
I go under water to grab his ankles and pull them.
he falls into the water and I laugh. hard.
ale: oh so you wanna play like that.
I didn't even have a chance to talk, he grabs me and slams me into the water.
I'm surprised the lifeguards aren't saying anything cus they usually say something back home.
alejandro and I play around like that for the longest time.
I can see that I've gotten tan when we come out of the water.
he brings me a towel and I get shivers.
ale: you want to eat now?
you: yeah.
while he goes and grabs the food, I lay on the beach chair under the shade and put on my sunglasses and sun hat.
I had a bathing suit cover up and put that one.
he came back with the food and sat next to me on another beach chair.
he handed me my chicken sandwich and my fries.
the food was good and we just talked and ate.
we still had a little bit of time left so I decided to take a nap after we ate.
I think he took one with me.
the sun and the water makes me so tired.

I slept for a good hour.
I felt refreshed.
ale: ahh your awake.
you: yup did you sleep.
ale: a little bit. listen I have to ask you something.
you: ask away.
I say that a little bit droopy type.
he laughs and says.
ale: y/n will you be my girlfriend.
well if I'm being honest I did not expect that.
I mean I don't live here, I live in a different state.
but I mean I like him a lot.
like too much.
I even got jealous when he's talking to other girls.
or even his ex.
he is better than the boys from home.
I put my sunglasses down.
you: you sure?
ale: well that's not the answer that I was expecting.
I said that because i don't know if he wants a crazy ass person like me as his girlfriend.
I laugh and say.
you: yes, I'll be your girlfriend.
he doesn't say anything back he just smiles at me and gets up from his chair and kisses me.
wow I guess now I have to tell my parents.
hopefully they won't go ballistic about it.
we pack our stuff into the car getting ready to go to alejandro's house.
while we are driving he blasts the music we sing together and he places his hand on my thigh.
making little circles with his thumb.
at this point it's 5pm so our parents, y/sn, and emiliano are home.
we enter the driveway and bring all of the stuff back inside.
we see our parents in the living room eating pan con cafe.
your mom: hey guys where did you guys go.
you: oh we went to the beach.
ale: yeah it was nice out so we decided to go there.
your dad: so how was it?
you & ale: great.
kinda awkward.
we both walk away and put the stuff away.
we quickly and quietly go to our own rooms.
