rudy patiently waits for the girls arrival so he could ask her out. even though kayla showed clear interest in him, he was still nervous she would back down and say no.
he paces the room back and forth, running his fingers through his blonde hair. when he hears the door open and the girls laughter his head perks up.
rushing over to davine and kayla entering the apartment building, he asks, "hey kay kay, can i talk to you?"
kayla and davine share a look before kayla nods. "yeah sure."
the duo walk into rudy's room and sit on the bed together. both of them were overthinking for two different reasons when they looked at each other.
"i was uh- i was wondering if you umm-"
"you can say anything." kayla chuckles and the pankow boys shivering words.
"i was wondering if you wanted to go out on a date with me." rudy asks without another hesitation.
kayla smiles and chuckles. she was waiting for rudy to ask her this before she had to ask herself which she didn't want to do because she was also nervous. "of course. what were you thinking?"
"there's an amusement not far from here." rudy scratches the back of his neck, leaving out the flower field idea austin brought up. he thought it would be nice to surprise her after.
"yeah, i would love too." kayla smiles. the girl hasn't gone on an actual date in a while and she was quite excited to go.
