That was the reason Yoongi also often strayed himself away from the younger, it was all just apart of his own mind games.

As if on one shoulder a devil was trying to talk him in to doing something mischievous, and on the other there was an angel attempting to convince him to perform some act of righteousness.

Conflicted

Torn between two sides, practically ripping the boy apart in an everlasting eternity. It was like he couldn't escape, having no way out of this spiraling current of uncertainty.

Interrupting his thoughts and taking him out of his dazed trance, the bell suddenly rang indicating next period. Standing up much to quickly, Yoongi's face nearly met the floor, as he was still quite exhausted and drowsy from not getting enough sleep.

Daydream didn't help the matter, as his legs had also fallen asleep creating that weird numb feeling everyone found uncomfortable. Atlas, Yoongi had managed to stand up, grabbing his backpack and rushing out of the classroom and into the crowded hallways.

Since it was the period before lunch, all the students were pushing past each other in a very aggressive manner, creating a war zone since everyone just wanted to eat.

Yoongi himself was desperate to get his hands on some food as well, since the he had forgotten to grab something for breakfast.

Amidst the stomach growls, his eyes suddenly caught what looked like a very familiar head of curly brown hair.

Hoseok

A subconscious smile found a way to the male's lips, as he pushed through the stubborn stampede of students and made his way over towards the other.

"Hoseok!" Hoseok jumped at the sudden name calling, eyes widening as they landed on Yoongi's sparkly ones.

"Hey Yoongi!" The male greeted enthusiastically, his infamous heart-shaped smile making something inside Yoongi flutter.

Yoongi  looked at either sides of the boy, noticing that neither Jungkook or Jimin was beside him, "Where's Gguk and Jiminie?", since Hoseok had the last period before lunch with the two.

"Oh, they had to stay behind after class for talking too much," Hoseok snickered.

Yoongi rolled his eyes and let out a small laugh at the two's antics, "Of course." Not really surprised by this, the two just dismissed it with a shrug and headed off towards the cafeteria side by side.

It wasn't awkward, which Yoongi was relieved by, yet it had this unusual atmosphere to it. Perhaps it was because the two weren't used to doing things like this, as Yoongi would normally distance himself from Hoseok.

But hopefully this acted as a change and barrier breaker between the the two boys.

Casual small talk was made as Hoseok and Yoongi walked into the cafeteria, enjoying each other's presence. It was a comforting feeling to say the least, something about it made them both feel protected in a sense.

"Are you buying lunch?" Hoseok inquired, eyes meeting Yoongi's cat-like ones.

"Nah, I bring my own lunch from home," Hoseok hummed in response, leading the two towards their usual meeting spot.

"Same, the lunch food is kinda nasty anyway," earning a chuckle from Yoongi.

"Yeah, with the hot dogs the meat literally bounces, it's disgusting." The two boys cringed in remembrance of Jungkook and Taehyung bouncing meet paddies and wieners just a few days prior.

What went on inside the two youngest heads still remained a mystery, but it provided the others with some form of entertainment nonetheless.

Walking up to the lunch table, Yoongi and Hoseok took seats next to each other without much thought put into it. It may have been awkward if they didn't sit next to each other, as they did in fact accompany one another on the walk there.

Plus, they didn't seem to mind.

As the remaining friend group approached the table, shock hit them like a lightning bolt, since it was a rare sight to see Hoseok and Yoongi next to each other.

Or even willingly talking for that matter.

Namjoon, Seokjin, and Taehyung all sent each other quizzical glances, wondering what in the actual frick what was happening.

Possibly the two were put under a spell, either that or they've tried drugs for the first time. The school did have some hefty dealers wandering throughout the halls.

Shaking off the thought, Taehyung just sat down in a total haze attempting to comprehend what he was witnessing. Much like him, both Namjoon and Seokjin couldn't even wrap their finger around the situation. All three of them just mindlessly stared at the two chatting away, not even bothering to touch their food.

Eventually, Yoongi noticed this and suddenly felt very uneasy under the six pairs of eyes all gaping at them, "Umm, you guys good?"

Coming back to reality, Taehyung upright said, "What's up with," before saying the last part the boy paused, and motioned his hand at the two's direction, "that?"

Hoseok, not getting to what the male was referring to, quirked an eyebrow at the younger, earning a dumbfounded expression in return.

"Just, never mind," Taehyung settled with, not wanting to create an awkward tension between the two.

After all, he was happy to see that both of his friends were finally getting along after many trials and errors. In his mind, Taehyung just silently thanked the gods for this miracle, especially from Yoongi's behalf.

Never would he have thought that Yoongi would be smiling at Hoseok, or actually carrying a meaningful conversation. A small smile tugged at the corner of Taehyung's lips, as he couldn't help but feel a bubbly feeling of happiness for the two.
