He is my best friend
The one I talk to during nights on weekends
He's the one I tell all my lies
He's the one I'd want to spend time with as it flies

I didn't know what happened but it came up
This feeling inside of me that I can't seem to control
And little by little, I started to fall
To each of his actions, I just seem to love them all

As time pass by, it goes deeper
The walls I built inside my heart became weaker
This love inside me just wants to flow
But I don't want to ruin our friendship with a single blow

I know that if I'll tell him, he might not understand
He might get angry, it will destroy our bond
So for the sake of our friendship I kept it inside
Deep down in my heart where it can always hide

Little did I know that he was in love too
I was so shocked, I had no clue
He told me who she was and my mind blew
I wished I didn't hear it but now I totally knew

I closed my eyes and I blocked my ears
I covered my face with my hands to hide these tears
Now my hair is a mess with such curls
I just can't afford to see him chase other girls

Time went by and they were already in love
It was so sudden, I don't know how to react
But then I saw him so happy in love
So I thought I just had to put up an act

I said I'm happy for them
And I really am
I mingled with them through their delights
And I prayed for them to get through all of their fights

But it's just like all good things must come to an end
Soon after the joy, hate and love seem to blend
It ruined everything, including them
And there was neither of them to blame

He was so devastated, so am I
It breaks my heart to see him cry
It felt like I was about to die
But I couldn't do anything 'cause time won't just quickly fly

It took him too long to recover from pain
It even took a thousand droplets of rain
But soon after the rain stopped, the rainbow showed up
It was fascinating just like his smile when he woke up

And I said, "Finally he's back with his old self"
He can now read books he threw out from the shelf
He can already laugh with the jokes I shared
And as I look at him from far away,
Just seeing how happy he is,
And I'm already okay
