 “Ashton?”

“Yeah?”

“Are you single?” I asked. It was a weird question but I had to ask. It had been bugging me all night and I had to get it off my chest. I didn’t want to ruin another relationship.

“Um, I guess.”

“What do you mean?”

“It’s on and off. We’re off at the moment.” He said.

“Oh, I’m sorry.” I apologized. I was actually kind of happy that he was off with her because then I couldn’t ruin everything.

“Don’t be. It’s not your fault.”

"Does Luke have a girlfriend?"

"Not at the moment, no."

"Okay, cool."

"Why do you wa--" We were cut off my rapid footsteps rushing down the stairs.

We were silent for a moment before Mikey came bounding down the stairs, turning to go into the basement. I looked at Ashton and he just shrugged. We both stood up, going to check on Michael.

“Mikey?” I whispered. He was standing in front of the fridge, staring at all the food that was shoved in there from the last shopping trip.

“What?” He snapped sharply, he continued to stare at the fridge.

I walked over and wrapped an arm around his side. “What’s up big bro?”

“Cameron called it off.” He whispered.

“Oh Mikey, I’m so sorry.”

“Don’t be, she said that she couldn’t handle the hate she was getting.” He hugged me and rested his chin on my head. I squeezed him around the waist and let him cry. Small tears fell on the top of my head. I silently said a thank you in my head that Cameron and Mikey breaking up wasn't my fault.

“Do you want to play FIFA?” I mumbled into his t-shirt after a few seconds.

“Hell yeah.”
