How long has it been since I've been here? 10 years...That's how long. Each day is another day I wish for my death, but being a fairy means my lifespan will last hundreds of years before I die. I sat in my cage made of Iron that burns my skin when it makes contact, with the bottom only being made of another metal that doesn't burn. Staring down past my cage I looked to where a blue gem sparkles. How I wish I can get out of this cage and take the gem back to where it belongs. Sighing, I turned away knowing that even if I got out, I was too weak to fly back home. Home... But I should start from the beginning I suppose.

My name is Y/N, I lived in the enchanted forest called Nolgian. The forest was divided from the humans by a dark forest called Rhengin that was created to keep hunters away, it harbors darkness within it as well as outcasted beings. The forest Nolgian was filled with mythical creatures that humans can only imagine, despite not knowing exactly beyond what's in the forest; they have figured out the majority and created myths based on what they can piece together. However, deep in the center of the forest lies a kingdom where a certain lineage of fairies carry powers of two elements that two neighboring kingdoms possess.

To better explain it, the Voda kingdom is full of water fairies who can use the water element to take care and purify lakes; with their royal lineage being able to harbor more stronger powers and skills. The other kingdom, Gaia, is full of earth fairies that can tend to the forest and flowers; with the royal lineage being able to possess stronger powers and skills. The kingdom in the center is a special kingdom known as Leben, both fairy types can live in there but the Royal lineage there can harbor both water and earth powers, as well as there extra attributes. Rumor has it that they have their own set of powers different than any fairy from either kingdom, but no one has been able to prove that theory.

You may ask: What type of fairy am I? Well I belong to the Gaia, the Kingdom of the earth fairies... To be more specific, I am one of their princesses. Me and my sister Téa (her Regal name is Anzu), are the Princesses of the kingdom. I am older than her by a couple of minutes, and my appearance is obviously different from hers. I was the one to assume the throne when it was time. But our parents still have centuries to rule, so we enjoyed our years together as sisters. However, 10 years ago that all changed...

I was 12 years old when it happened. My best friend Joey, a werewolf was with me near a lake that was my favorite place to be. We were far enough from the Kingdoms that it would take us a while to get there, but were close to to Joey's home to know we were safe. At least we thought....

"Y/N!" Joey yelled in delight as I made red-seeded dandelions sprout from his feet.

Laughing I carried on with my work as Joey tried to pounce on me. He was in his wolf form with light yellow fur, and brown eyes. He may have been mistaken for a dog if his voice was just barks. Joey was to be the next Alpha in the pack but was free to do as he wish till his time came. After a while, we sat next to each other as I teased Joey on finding his mate Mai, a harpy.

"That's not fair! You know mine even though Sprites are known for finding there's early!" Joey groaned as fell back on the grass.

Giggling I flew closer to him, letting my wings relax as they glowed a dim green light, with little gold sparkles.

"First of, the term Sprites is what you use to refer to a male fairy or a large group. And secondly, I have hundreds of years to find my mates" I said giggling at the expression Joey made when he didn't seem to understand the terminology used.

"I don't understand how two mates work" Joey grumbled.

Having two mates was common for all the beings here, but werewolves usually stay with one to avoid trouble. You were about to say something when suddenly you were hit by an iron needle that cut your side.
