DianaRamirez: The first picture is me at age 15 living with my brother in a small home with my mom and my abuser. He was a family friend staying with us while he got through school. I thought he was my best friend when I met him at 10, but it wasn't until much later that I saw who he was. I didn't smile much back then and I'd mostly sat knees close to my chest, the picture was taken by a man who I thought was giving me, what I thought was love then. The second picture is me age 29 living with a pretty great guy. I've got an excellent career and friends I've met who I love immensely. My brother is on his way to college and I couldn't be a prouder mom. The best part is that I'm engaged to a man who's shown me true love.
