They had broken the rule. The Pogues only had one rule and it's own creator broke it, little did he know it had been already broken years ago.

John B left early the following morning, he didn't want Topper to see him. If there weren't enough things in his head with the whole Royal Merchant and his dad thing, now add Summer. They didn't talk about it that morning and they both guessed they weren't going to in a long time, but they wouldn't last long until they told their best friends.

"Top?" Summer knocked softly on her brother's room, they had a pending conversation "you up?" she asked entering the room

"Yeah" he groaned sitting down on his bed "how was your night?" Topper asked his sister as he shifter so she could sit down next to him on his bed

"I guess that better than yours" she looked at him

"Uh...I can't understand it" Topper groaned hiding his face in a pillow

"But, what happened with Sarah?" Summer asked him taking the pillow out of his face

"I told her a loved her" he said making Summer smile, he had finally admitted his feelings to Sarah, she loved that pair, after all it was her best friend and her brother, she wanted the best for them

"That's great Top!" she smiled

"No, not at all. We were having such a sweet night in the terrace, alone, just the two of us looking at the stars. We started kissing and well, she told me she wanted to do it, she gave me permission, she said she wanted it. Then I told her I loved her and she stopped me" Topper explained as Summer looked at him confused and trying to process the information

"You know she hasn't done it before Top, she was probably just nervous" Summer tried to assure him everything was right and that he was only overreacting

"No Sum, there is something wrong. I just...I didn't know what to do" Topper admitted frustrated

"You stomped, didn't you?" Summer asked him already knowing the answer

"I'm a stomper, you know that" He nodded

"Okay look, why don't you just try to relax, don't think about Sarah, let her have some time to think. Go golfing with Rafe and Kelce or something" She advised her brother

"Alright" Topper groaned standing up " What are you going to do? Mom comes back home today" He asked his sister

"I can assure you I won't be here" she said making him laugh "I have some things to do" she stood up

"Let me guess...with you Pogue friends?" Topper asked

"Yeah, with them"

"JJ!" She called out when she arrived at the blonde's house "J!" she tried again, she knew he was there, she had seen his dad when she was coming and knew that if his dad wasn't home, he was "I know you are in there you dick, open the door!" she exclaimed right when the door opened showing her blonde friend

"God Summer chill, I was in the bathroom" he said letting her in "What got you so anxious?" He asked her concerned

"Yesterday John b stayed at my house" she went straight to the facts

"Oh, you fucked" JJ nodded at her

"No JJ, we didn't fuck" She rolled her eyes at the boy

"But you almost did, right?" JJ tried to get her to talk, but she just shook her head at this

"We just kissed" Summer admitted sitting down on the couch "but I think it was just a kiss because I stopped it before anything else could happen" she sighed

"So, you totally wanted to fuck him?" JJ asked her making the girl glare at him "Okay, okay" the boy raised his arms in surrender "You are an idiot for stopping it, why did you?" JJ asked his friend

"We have a rule J, and John b basically lives by it, he created it" Summer admitting covering her face with her hands frustrated

"Summer, we already broke that rule two years ago. I didn't think that would be the one thing stopping you from getting what you want" JJ wrapped his arms around the girl letting her head rest on his chest

"But it was not the same, we were younger, at a party and it just happened" she sighed

"We were both sober and we wanted to do it" JJ looked down at her

"I know and I want John b, but I don't think I want him just like that" she admitting putting her hair up in a ponytail

"I think the problem is that you love him and you want to make things right and don't let him think his is just your fuck buddy" JJ said making Summer slightly nod "Well, I think he loves you too" he told her

"You think so?" Summer asked.

The truth is that she had decided to tell JJ because besides John b, he knew her the best. She was super insecure with things like this and he knew it.

"Stop letting yourself down Summer, I know what you are thinking and I can assure you, he totally likes you for you" JJ said making Summer smile

"I don't know what to do" She admitted

"Don't do anything yet. I'm going to get Pope and join John b and Kie to surf" JJ trailed

"Yeah, I know. I just had to come here before I faced him again" Summer chuckled

"Why don't you go now with them? Kie will be there so it won't be awkward" JJ told her

"Yeah, I should" she stood up "JJ, can you not tell anyone about this? I mean not Kie, not Pope" she asked him

"Of course" JJ sweetly kissed her forehead

"So, we just wait for the perfect weather?" Summer asked after John b and Kie told her the plan to get the gold

"Yeah" Kie nodded

Summer and John b didn't even look at each other the whole time. Well, Summer didn't, John b had been staring at her the whole time and Kie noticed it.

"Uh...why don't we catch some waves?" Kie asked to break the tension between her two friends

They surfed for some time, all of them enjoying the waves. They loved surfing together, they've always done it and they weren't going to stop doing it soon.

"Hey! Save some waves for us!" They all heard JJ yell when he and Pope arrived at the beach

They were all together then, the five of them. They went through everything together and found peace right there, surfing at the beach.

"You really think is out there? Like, no bullshit" Pope asked when they all were back at The Château. Summer sat down next to JJ, she still had not said a word to John b in the whole day

"My father thought it was" John b answered

"But do you?" Pope asked him again

"After hearing his voice on that tape...I think I do" John b admitted as Summer looked at him. It was the first time she did that in the whole day, she couldn't help it, she knew how hard it was for John b to talk about his dad so she shoot him a small smile and he gladly gave her one two

"Only one way to find out" Pope stated

"Look, we're gonna find it, you know?" Kie cheered John b up

"Even JJ believes" Summer added laughing

"Oh my god JJ, do you really believe?" Pope asked the blonde

"Totally. Wait, are we talking about four mil?" He asked

"Four hundred mil" Pope and Kie said at the same time "Jinx" they laughed. Summer looked between them, she knew Pope was hopelessly in love with Kie.

"I'm gonna dream about shipwrecks!" JJ exclaimed making all of his friends laugh
