《A L OC K E D H E A R T》

Ignorance is bliss,
Or so they say.
Are they words of lies,
Well, perhaps I should not say.The thing I deem true,
Is that bliss resides in ignorance.
For how could one fall asleep,
Had the weight of every suffering lingered at their feet? What of those cries and screams?
Carried away by the delicate breeze.
Should they land on one,
I would dare not imagine their pleas. So see not what you already can,
For ignorance is what puts hearts at peace.
And hope that all the lurking agony,
Does not interfere with your bliss. As for those helpless souls,
Perhaps a time will come.
A guiding light emerging,
Breaking walls of selfishness,
Crushing mounds of ignorance.Until then,
We can only pray.
Watch as we might,
See as we would like.
From behind the bounds,
Of one's own fence.- Copyrighted by A. Y. Eirlys
