After The Fact {Fruits Baskets}

The Goodbye

It was the next morning and Tohru woke up early. 'Today's the day' Tohru thought. She decided she would just go downstairs and wait for Kyo to wake up. She slipped on her sandals and walk down the stairs. She made her way to the kitchen. She saw Kyo sitting at the table. "Your up early" Kyo said. 'i could say the same to you" Tohru thought. "Yeah i couldn't sleep from being so nervous and excited." Tohru said. "Same here" Kyo answered. 'Might as well make some breakfast. Tohru walks over to the stove and starts making some miso soup. Then goes to make some rice. "I love you" Kyo said. Tohru's face turns extremely red and she freezes in her tracks. "oh um aha" she stutters " I love you too" She replies with.      Shigure walks into the kitchen surprised to see Tohru and Kyo. "good morning children" he sang.  "Today is the departure isn't it?". Yuki walks in a little while later. "You sure slept in" Kyo said. "Oh shut up stupid cat" Yuki  replies with. While listening Tohru smiles. "Whats wrong Miss Honda?" Yuki asks with concern. "No no its nothing, I'm gonna miss your constant bickering" Yuki and Kyo slightly blushed. "Well I'm going to put my bags in the car" 

Tohru goes to her room and grabs her bags then heads for the car. But something stops her. She turns around and looks at her empty room. She gets flashbacks to the first day she met Kyo, Yuki, and Shigure. And she remembers when she found out about the curse. "Oh mom, there all turning into animals!" she remembers. "goodbye". She brings her bags to the car.

"TOHRU!!!" Momiji calls. "Hi momiji!" Tohru answers. She sees Kagura, Haru, Rin, Ayame, Kisa, Hatori, Ritsu and even Hiro running behind him. "Sissy! don't go!" Kisa cried. "Oh don't cry Kisa everything is gonna be great" Tohru said as she turns around and smiles at Kyo. Everyone gave Tohru a hug. And to Kyo's surprise they hugged him too. "HEY! we arent late are we?" "Hana! Uo! I'm so glad u came" Tohru and they all gave a big hug. After about 30 minutes of laughing, talking, and crying about old times. It was time to go.

Kyo hops into the drivers seat and Tohru goes to sit in the passengers seat. They roll down the window; "Bye everyone!" Everyone runs after the car a soon as it pulls away. Then Momiji's triggered Kisa's crying and soon enough everyone was a least shedding a tear (besides Hatori and Hiro). "It's quite a shock" Shigure says. "what is" Hatori questioned. "that Kyo would ever find a girl to love, let alone an amazing girl like Tohru." "That I can agree with" Hatori says.  

The car was zooming; Tohru was Playing the radio. "La la la, na na na, da da" she sang. Usually this would annoy Kyo but today it didn't he felt he could listen to her for hours. "Oh Kyo aren't you just so excited!" Tohru gushed. "Yeah" he said. They drove for a few hours laughing and talking and sleeping. 

    "Tohru.., Tohru wake up.., we are here"
