"Good morning?" I asked, confused.

Well, there's nothing nee about that. "You were unconscious for 15 hours."

Bahagyang umawang ang labi ko sa gulat. Gano'n katagal?

"Ahm, doc. Ahh-- well?" I tried asking but I can't compose the right sentence.

My mind is in haywire.

The doctor chuckled while looking at me while I struggle for words and my two men automatically glared at him.

Eyebrows in knots and lips are in a grim line. Both exudes dark aura in the 4 closed corner of the hospital room. His face is like asking "What the hell did I do wrong that it feels like I will be skinned alive any minute now?"

"W-wel, I already have the result here.It says that you have a psychogenic amnesia, Mrs. Villafuent," he stated.

"Psychogenic amnesia?" I trailed slowly. The tip of my tongue rolled against my teeth at the foreign words.

"Yep," Aniya. Popping the 'p'. "You forgot a particular memory due to a neurobiological cause. It is the effect of a severe stress or psychological trauma on the brain. There are two main types of psychogenic amnesia but in your case it is the situation-specific amnesia. You got it maybe because you suffered from a severe stressful event, as part of post-traumatic disorder. Such as being mugged, raped, or involved in a car crash. It is your brain's defense mechanism from something that is too much for it to handle. The lost memories may recover spontaneously, years or decade after the event. It may be triggered by a familiar smell, taste, or other identifiers. And you lost consciousness yesterday because something triggered your memory that forced your brain to remember things."

The whole duration the doctor explained my situation, I was light-headed. I can't grasp whole of it aside from the idea that I do really have amnesia. Psychogenic amnesia. Situation-specific amnesia to be particular.

"Well, Mrs. Villafuente, did you recover your memories? Some patients suffering from this have the tendency of losing their particular memory forever. If you are wishing to recollect your lost memories, I hope you're not one of them."

Napakurap-kurap ako. "I-I dreamed about it."

"Well, congratulations. You recovered some of your memories and if there is a memory still missing, you will recollect them sooner. Just don't strain yourself and let things unfold on its own. Okay?"

So, that's why I am actually familiar with Tita Ella and to him because I was with them back then. I even moved in with him. We lived under the same roof.

"Rest. Don't think too much."

Tumango ako at umusog. "Of course, baby."

Napalabi ako. He's like his dad. Sounds so sexy while speaking in tagalog.

He flopped in my bed and hugged me tight.
