CHAPTER FIFTY

ONE YEAR LATER- 

AUTHOR'S POV - 

The night sky was transferring from light blue to navy blue, the moon is glistening on the crystal clear water, while the waves continue to crash the soft shore. The peaceful moonlit sky of Bahamas was filled with cheerful voices and giggles all around. And why not? 

One of India's most eligible bachelor was finally getting married to his long time girl friend. Rather India's most favorite and adorable couple was finally getting hitched. 

"Ladies and Gentlemen, the men over hear are not that gentle but I am ." Abhishek said. 

"Can you just do what we were on stage for or let me speak." Iya said and glared at him.

"So you see how my to be wife is already passing around orders." Abhishek said. 

"Tumse nahi hoga." Iya said and snatched the mic. 

"Guys, imagine that all this never happened." Iya said and the audience chuckled. 

"So never did I think that I would meet this wonderfully romantic, flirtatious and hopeless idiot and I would also fall for him." Iya said. 

"Aunty did you just see your daughter called your daamad an idiot." Abhishek complained. 

"Abhay my daughter is a little mad leave it, and how many times do I need to tell you call me maa." Iya's mom said from down. 

"Abhi se you are taking his side mumma, very bad. But its okay I have Komal di, Sania di and maa." Iya said. 

"Haa we are on your side only." Komal screamed from down. 

"Where is your speech now?" Abhishek asked. 

"Okay so getting back to the topic. Around thirteen years back, I had come to Mohali to meet my best friend, who is the sole reason for us being together now. Actually no, there were two best friends, they  were inseparable like anything out of which one is sitting right there." Iya said and pointed towards Shubman who smiled. 

"And god knows where the other one is. Now see she was the one who played cupid and she is not here itself. This is so annoying, she is my bestest friend and she is not attending my wedding. So not acceptable" Iya said. 

"Its okay when we see her hum uski jum kar pitayi karege." Abhishek said. 

"Okay so moving on. I really did not know that I will fall for your continuous flirting, cute antics and these handsome hunk looks of yours but I did." Iya said. 

"But I fell for your attitude, your cuteness, your long locks, your beautiful looks the day I saw you." Abhishek said. 

"Just as I said, hopelessly romantic." Iya mumbled. 

"Only for you Iyu, I never knew that we will hold on so long." Abhishek said. 

"But we did, even despite all that long distance drama we did." Iya said. 

"Do not even get me started on the long distance, mid night talks, months without seeing your pretty face and feeling you, those 'Mom is here, bye' texts and what not." Abhishek said. 

"Yup, it has been a good long journey Abhay. I still remember how you casually came to my parents and said that we are dating and I was freaking out like hell." Iya said. 

"Seriously you were hell scared and maa went like 'Oh so you are the guy? I am cool with it' and you were jumping around the house." Abhishek said. 

"And dad started giving a long list of warnings to you and then went like 'Can I have a selfie and autograph?' and I was like 'what the hell?'" Iya said.
