Sam rolled over, flipped to her feet and jabbed the spear towards Varshini's head, stopping mere millimetres from her skin. It was the second day of training, and Obi was in charge, leading a 'long weapon training' involving an assortment of spears, sticks and pole weapons.

He'd split the pack into groups of two, cleverly putting Sam with Varshini in the corner furthest from where Liam was currently glaring at the two. He and Varshini hadn't spoken since their break up and the tension in the air was palpable.

As usual, Sam was incredible, effortlessly incorporating Obi's new moves and suggestions into her attacks, which meant Varshini was often ending up stabbed or pinned to the floor. Her frustration was growing, making Liam marginally happier.

"Next," shouted Obi.

Sam crouched and spun, one leg extended, tripping Varshini. Rising up she spun her spear, using the blunted end to the whack the back of her knees, furthering her disequilibium and causing her to trip over. A large bang resounded as Varshini's back hit the ground, Sam's spear millimetres from her face. Sighing, Sam reached a hand down yanking her to her feet.

"Sorry," she huffed. She always felt guilty during practice. No one could beat her. Although Liam had come close once or twice. It also didn't help that she didn't like giving advice to others as she worried that she would come across as a show-off if she started explaining things. But more than that, she worried that demonstrating a willingness to talk might encourage people to ask her questions, like how she knew all these things. And she really didn't want to talk about her experience with the DIR any more than she had to. But she just really wished someone here could actually put up a fight.

Varshini sighed, trying not to let her anger get the best of her. She knew that if she attacked Sam she would definitely come off worse, not to mention look like a fool in front of Liam. But maybe a surprise attack? Totally unexpected? As the idea formed in her head, Sam pinned her to the floor once again, her distraction only making her an easy opponent. Huffing her way back to her feet she made her decision. As Sam pulled her to her feet, she yanked back on the hand, destabilising Sam and then reached up, determined to lock her opponent's head in an arm lock. Wrapping her hands around Sam's neck she felt victorious, until she realised that Sam was chuckling.

"Finally." Varshini heard the whisper from beside her ear sending a thrill of fear and excitement through her body. Did that mean 'finally, someone had beat her'? Or 'finally, she was going to properly fight'? Varshini's muscles tensed, preparing herself in case it was the latter.

Suddenly, Sam spun around, moving her head away from Varshini's chest, her neck now firmly pressed against Varshini's clasped hands. Using her momentum Sam flung herself forward, lifting Varshini off the floor, threatening to throw her over her head. But she paused, not completing the move.

"You're gonna want to do something Varsh, otherwise you're ending up on the floor."

Varshini's eyes widened, Sam never spoke during training nor did she offer advice. Her help usually consisted of continuously beating them in fights, despite their improvements.

"L-l-like what?" Varshini's voice was tinged with a hint of anticipation.

"Well you could use your leg to trip me, or you could move your body sideways so that I can't use mine to propel you." As she spoke, Sam used her hands to softly manoeuvre Varshini's body, shifting her sideways.

"See, like that, and now you can use your hands to pull my head downward, which will put me in a lock." Varshini adjusted her grip, following Sam's instructions.

"Nice!" She exclaimed, releasing Sam.

"You want to try again?" Sam asked. She seemed amused by Varshini's excitement.

"Hell yes!"

A group of werewolves gathered around them as Varshini tried to repeat the same hold. Sam didn't speak the whole time, just repeated the moves over and over, gradually speeding up if she felt Varshini was ready. Eventually, Varshini's voice spoke up, breaking the silence, as she manoeuvred Sam's head downwards,

"Would this actually do anything if you were trying?" In response Sam chuckled, before raising her elbow, using at as a lever into Varshini's ribs to slacken the hold. Once she felt her grip release, she swung upwards and downwards, flipping Varshini sideways and onto the floor once again.

"Not yet, but if you keep practising it will."

Varshini grinned. She was more than willing to work hard if it would make her a bad-ass.

"Right, team change!" Announced Obi, grouping wolves into threes. "We're going to be working on fighting off multiple opponents!"

Sam grinned at her partners, Liam and Aiden. Because her and her wolf were one, they never had conflicting thoughts or motives, which meant that whatever form she attacked in, she could combine her calculating, ferocious wolf side with her tactical and logical human side. Other wolves, on the other hand, had to deal with their wolf attempting to take over, and the conflicting emotions from their two halves.

She stood her ground as the boys circled her. She saw their muscles flex and tense as they prepared to pounce. Then Liam slowly took off his shirt, grinning at Aiden as he did. Sam couldn't help but be distracted by his rippling abs. She groaned internally, batting off the distracting line of thought that arose unrequested in her mind. Noticing that Aiden has disappeared, she spun around. Just in time to see him take off his shirt as well. Well if they want to play dirty... She shot them both a sickly sweet smile, running her hands down her sides to the hem of her tank top. She toyed with it, slowly lifting it up to her neck and then over. She made sure to never block her line of vision, aware of the circling predators. Sam twirled her shirt in her hands before dropping it to the floor. Her green sports bra complemented her curly ginger hair. But the boys found their eyes drawn to the toned stomach below, abs hinting at the surface of her skin. She twirled, watching one brother than the other, under the pretence that she was protecting her back but really trying to give them a show of her entire body.

Fuck, we're gonna have to step it up, thought Aiden. He signalled to Liam that they should remove their joggers, so in unison, they bent down. Sam chuckled at their stupidity. Yes, she might be in heat, but she wasn't going to pass up such a perfect opportunity. She waited until their trousers were around their knees before sprinting at Aiden. As she approached she dropped into a slide, grabbing the bottom of his trousers as she passed, effectively tripping him over. Using her momentum, she leapt back onto her feet and spun around, facing Liam. Liam had paused in his efforts. Recognising the threat, he sped up, desperately trying to get his trousers off before she reached him. Delving into her wolf strength, she ran at him. His desperation was making his actions messy. He obviously didn't want to be beaten by a girl, in front of his ex, with his trousers around his ankles, giggled Sam. Reaching Liam she bunny hopped over him, then spun around and grasping the back of his trousers, yanked them upwards. He wobbled forwards, trying desperately to keep his balance, before crashing onto the floor.

The image of the two brothers clambering to their feet, trousers around their legs made Sam want to break into peals of laughter. But she stopped herself, not wanting to attract the attention of the rest of the class. The boys didn't need any further embarrassment today. Glancing around, she noticed that only Obi had been watching, a large grin plastered on his face at the scene.

Needless to say that Liam and Aiden didn't try anything of the sort for the remainder of the session.

Hope you enjoyed xx
