The next morning Dre got home and was greeted with Daren with a black. Dre took his lighter out and light it then smoked it. "Shit good?", Dre asked.
"Yea", Daren said.
Dre nods. "Even if shit popped out I trust you'd get shit handled"
"Of course. I ain't ya best security for nothing", Daren said.
"I know. That's why imma have you look over her while she at the house over there in Marietta", he said.
Daren nods.
Dre smoked more of his black then put it out and walked in the house. Aaliyah was laying on the couch watching tv
"I'm surprised you up", Dre said.
"She never slept", Daren said.
"Daren you mind stepping outside for me", Dre asked.
"Yea", Daren said before he walked out.
"You okay?", Dre asked.
"Yea", she said as she yawned.
"You can sleep on the way to Marietta", he said as he sat next to her.
"Dre, I'm not going there", she said.
Dre rubbed her thigh. "Baby, I wanna keep you safe. While I handle all this. I can't worry about what I gotta do and you too"
"So imma be there alone all by myself?", Aaliyah asked.
"No", he said. "Daren will be with you"
"No, Dre", Aaliyah said.
"Well Aaliyah it's either that or you be by yourself", he said.
"I will rather be by myself", she said softly.
"But you not by yourself. You pregnant", he said.
Aaliyah looks down.
"You'll be fine", Dre said. "You'll see me daily just not for long at one time. Some days it'll be on FaceTime some days in person"
"For how long Dre?", Aaliyah asked.
"Until I get the situation handled", Dre said.
Aaliyah rolled her eyes and sat up.
"It'll be over before you know it", he said.
"Yea.. meanwhile you gone have me in the house alone with some other nigga", she said.
"He'll be outside", Dre said.
"I don't care Dre. I don't want him there at all", Aaliyah said.
"Aaliyah listen that's the only one outta security I trust", he said.
"Dre.. is feeling better with the people I started with", she said.
"....okay I'll call Herbo and them then", he said.
"Thank you... I just don't feel a good vibe around Daren. That's why I didn't sleep", she said.
Dre nods. "I trust your judgment", he said. "...especially after all the stuff you been through"
Aaliyah stands up. "I'm about to sleep for a while until you're ready"
"We can go now if you want and they just meet us there", Dre said.
"Okay", she said.
