Peter awoke the next morning with a start as he heard footsteps near him. Slowly he looked up, his mind still waking up, his honey coloured eyes met poisonous green ones. He jumped a little at the sight of the god before him. Once again he saw the worry in Loki's eyes and he stuttered and stumbled over his words before mumbling in a small voice "w-what are y-you doing here Mr L-Loki".

Loki looked down at the small mortal who laid on the dirty alley floor below him. "I could ask you the same thing, child". Loki raised an eyebrow at the child who stumbled to get onto his feet.

"Taking a nap?" Peter said, more like asked, the god before him.

"Totally" Loki said with sarcasm evident in his voice. He looked over the teen. Messy brown hair that seemed slightly dark from the dirt, his clothes hung off his thin frame, bandages were wrapped around his hands and most probably up his arms. He wore a hoodie and sweatpants so he could move easily. His trainers had holes in them from overuse; the mortal also seemed short for his age. Loki came up with a conclusion. The child before him was homeless and on the run by the way he reacts around others.

"I'm guessing you sleep here?" Peter nodded, proving Loki's suspicions. The former's stomach growled, breaking the silence and causing the shorter of the two to blush. "How about I get you a meal?"

"Are you sure Mr Loki? I don't want to be a burden for you" He mumbled nervously.

"I'm sure, what's your name?" Loki got an answer of Peter in a small voice in response. They left the alley together making their way to the nearest place they could get a good meal making small conversations along the way.
