Peter decided today he would hang out with Wade. And so they were walking through the park. It was autumn and so leaves were shades of gold on the trees, and more crunched beneath their feet as they walked. A coffee was in Peter's cold hands as he snuggled slightly into his scarf. He felt like he was on cloud nine as he smiled at his friend. Finally he felt like he could be happy. Like he belonged.

Wade looked down at Peter who seemed like an angel in his eyes. How could I meet such a great person like him and then be friends with him? The older thought to himself as he smiled down at the smaller who seemed like he was the happiest he had ever been. Wade was also happy. Happy that he could make a friend at last.

''How about we go get some cake?'' Wade asked the smaller knowing of his sweet tooth.

Peter looked up and smiled brightly, nodding his head excitedly as Wade felt that he would need sunglasses if this kept happening. The small boy was like a slice of sunlight in his dark life, the thing that he didn't know he needed until he met him.

He still remembers the day clearly as the snow covered boy came into the cafe. His cheeks and nose were red from the cold, his clothes covered in dirt but yet he was still giving off a warm atmosphere as he smiled slightly.

When Wade came back it was to the sound of the bell of the small cafe they entered. He smiled down at Peter. Both of the boys thought that nothing could go wrong...

''Pete?''

They just had to jinx it.
