Chapter 22

Class ended and we headed to the lunch hall, when everyone came Oli pulled me aside and I saw Lauren fill up with anger,
Lizzie: soooo what do you want
Oli: I still want to apologise
Lizzie: its fine Oli, don't worry, it was all my fault
We then stared into each others eyes, we both leaned in and kissed, I didn't want that kiss to end but then it did, I saw Joel. He looked shocked and his eyes were filling up with tears, Oli saw him too and then pulled me in for another kiss, Joel ran away. I don't know what to think right now, I just kissed a guy that I really like, but I also feel bad for Joel.

Laurens POV
I get to the lunch hall and sit down with everyone, everything was going good until Oli pulled Lizzie aside, I wanted to spy on them, so I said I was going to the toilets. I follow them and hide myself behind a corner, i hear them talking, when i peek around the corner i see them Snogging. i was shocked, i wasn't the only one because i saw Joels jaw drop. They kiss again and then Joel runs away, i run after him and i see him crying and hitting his head on his locker.
Lauren: Joel are you ok
Joel: WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE
Lauren: sorry but umm..
Joel: no, i'm sorry Lauren I didn't mean to shout at you
We stared into eachothers eyes, but then we were interrupted by someone
???: Hey baby, who is this girl your with, did you move on from Lizzie
Joel: Laura go away, she's my friend
Laura? Where have i heard that name before
Laura: wow you moved on from Lizzie quick
Joel: you don't control my life Laura, i broke up with you, now get out of my life
Oh that's right, Laura is Joels ex girlfriend
Laura: well you cant tell me what to do babe
Lauren: dude just leave him alone
Laura: oh my Joel, you've got someone standing up for you, is she your girlfriend
Lauren: why don't you just mind your own business and get lost
Teacher: excuse me, can you stop shouting
Laura: of course, to be honest i wasn't the one shouting, these two just started to shout at me for no reason
Teacher: did they??
Lauren and Joel: no we weren't Laura started shouting at us
Teacher: if that was the case you shouldn't of shouted something very rude
Lauren: what did i say
Teacher: you said get lost
Joel: how pathetic
Teacher: excuse me, now you two have crossed the line both of you have after school detention in my classroom
Lauren and Joel: WHAT
Teacher: if you fail to show up on time you will have detention the next day
The teacher turns around and walks away
Laura: your welcome
Laura turns her back and walks away, great now we have detention, my mom's gonna kill me.
Skip to the end of school
I run to the classroom that i have detention in and i quickly get my phone out and text my mom, let me tell you she was not happy. Joel shows up and the teacher lets us in, he sits us down on opposite sides of the classroom and we sit in silence doing homework. It was so boring and i really needed to use the bathroom, so i asked if i could go and he sets a 5 minute timer, and if i'm not back before the 5 minutes i would have to stay in detention for longer. So i sprinted to the nearest toilet, did my business and sprinted back, luckily i was back before the timer ended.
After detention
I finally got out of detention, Joel offered to walk back home with me, he said his house was near mine
Lauren: so, are you over Lizzie
Joel: why do you want to know
Lauren: just curious
I actually want to know because if he does I could try and get Lizzie to like him and I wil-
Joel: yes, I am
Well there goes my chance of getting with Oli
Lauren: ok
It was silent for a while, until Joel broke it
Joel: so do you want to hang out tomorrow, its the weekend
Omg, did he just ask to hang out with me
Lauren: sure, I have nothing else to do
We approach my house and I say goodbye. Wow i'm actually going to hang out with Joel tomorrow, wait am I starting to like Joel, no way I like Oli, me and Joel are just f-friends
