"Really?" Shay and I both asked.

"Yes." She laughed. "I've been on a couple but they didnt go further."

"Why not?"

"The vibe wasn't there so I just didn't bother."

"You got your eye on someone?"

"Maybe." She shrugged.

"Ouuu! Is that a smile I'm seeing?"

"No. Now shut up."

"Who is he Jaz, maybe we could help."

"Nope. I'm not ready to say or act on it so just leave it there."

"Fine." I sighed.

"Like fuck if I will. I'll catch you slipping and figure it out soon." Shay shrugged.

"I can't stand you."

"I love you too." She laughed.

Continuing our conversation, we spoke on the children starting school and how excited they are. While telling them how Mirah been going through her books a text came through which alarmed me a bit.

"Hey, excuse me a minute."

"Sure babe."

"Take your time."

Walking into my bedroom, I closed the door then went into my bathroom and called Travis.

"What's going on? What was that text about?"

"We need ya to talk to Aug. Nigga ain't listening ta nobody and he ain't eat all day."

"Put him on." I sighed.

Hearing shuffling, followed by Travis talking, he finally came on the phone.

"Yea?"

"Babe?"

"Wassup ma? Ya OK? Our baby OK?"

"We are. Aside from him kicking up a storm just now."

Hearing him chuckle, made me smile a bit.

"Can we face time?"

"Yea. I'll call ya back."

Ending my call on Travis phone, I waited a bit then mines rang.

"What Trav told ya?"

"Nothing babe."

"Why ya lying ta me?"

"Babe." I sighed.

"What he told ya?"

"It was nothing. He just texted me saying they need me to talk to you and that you haven't eaten all day."

"I'm not hungry."

"I know and I'm not going to force you but promise me you will before you go on tonight."

"I'a do that." He nodded.

Staring at him, I knew he was still upset with me, but at the same time, he needed me right now.

"Were you going ta call me taday of Trav didnt message you?"

"I was. Probably just before ya go on."

"OK."

"I know you want your space, but at the same time I know what today is and I was going to make sure that you were OK."
