The whole garden was an absolute beauty. Sakura trees stood tall throughout the vast green land, casting their dark shadows upon the grass. Their buds flowing with the wind, leaving petals of pink scattered on the ground. Different types of flowers were starting to shyly peek through their closed bud, ever so soft and delicate, adding splashes of colors to the otherwise green environment. Daisies, Tulips, Buttercups and your favorite, peonies bloomed with such vibrancy like never before.
And in the middle of this enchanting meadow, lies a magical gazebo. Its white paint was slowly chapping away to the luscious green vines curling tightly around it as if it would leave. Droplets of jewels decorated the awnings of the gazebo, adding a sprinkle of magic to the already mystical place.
You remembered this vast land of magic from the back of your head. Every single one of these leaves, of these petals... were all tiny little fragments making up your memories. Memories that you cherish. Memories that will soon be fading. That gazebo was the best of all the memories you had.
The place where you first met him.
The place where you fell in love with him. The place where he had fallen on one knee.
The very thought just made you smile even wider.
Birds were chirping happily as if they knew it was a big day. Slowly, you could hear the crowd of familiar and unfamiliar faces showing up to the empty seats were arranged neatly facing the elegant gazebo. Familiar foes greeted each other with warm hugs. Suddenly, they hushed themselves when the ceremony was about to start.
Your bare feet gradually step on the wide path of pink petals that guided you towards the altar. Inside the arbor was a lone young male with a fine tuft of raven hair slicked back neatly for the occasion. He anxiously cleaned his already clean black tuxedo waiting for the awaited bride to step out. His fellow group of friends cooed at this mere action.
Anticipation waft over you by the time you reached the center of the aisle, looking at the groom with such emotions. Your silky white kimono was wrapped comfortably around your frail figure. A tiny pouch dangled on your wrist, it's content jingling to indicate six coins inside.
"Let us all welcome the bride."
The crowd stood up to welcome the long-awaited woman of the day. Faces full joy for two people to be reunited once again, not to just be a mere couple, but to be husband-and-wife. A pair for the rest of their lives.
This is it. The long-awaited day has finally come. You need to be ready for this. You have to.
Walking the aisle towards the man that you love and finally bonded with him for the rest of your life was the only thing you've ever wanted, up there in your bucket list. And now it's finally the day.
Except it wasn't you who was walking down the aisle. The crowd wasn't looking at you, their heads were pointing towards the woman peeking from the corner behind thick leaves. Her magnificent sakura pink hair covered under a white lace veil that glistened under the sunlight. The veil continued onwards, covering along her elegant white gown with jewels of emerald that shone brightly to accentuate her eyes. Waist so frail and tiny as a bouquet of sakura rested on top of it. The skirt traveled down to her ankles, half-covering her cream heels. The crowd oo-ed at her grand entrance, some gawked in awe at her outfit. Claps erupted through the meadow as the bride took her first step towards the aisle.
The groom, albeit standing stiff as a statue, was looking at her with loving eyes. But you've known him better.
The bride walked closer and closer to you until her nose was right at the tip of yours. You could see it. Her emerald orbs were showing it all. Love, care, joy, everything. She was the right choice. He made the right choice. Your heartaches, but now you can rest peacefully knowing he's in good hands.
