EDITED.

It was now lunchtime time and I was finding a table to sit on when I saw Lucy gesturing me over to the rusty table in the far corner of the over crowded dining hall and I walked over.

"Hey." she greeted me, casually.

"Hey." I simply responded, seating myself next to her and placing my tray on the table, already taking a large bite of the baguette that once layed so peacefully on my plate, "Aren't you going to eat anything?" I asked with my mouth full of food.

"Nope, I'm on a diet. Remember?" She said with a serious face, her eyebrow forrowed to show she wasn't kidding around, and a sort of disgusted look on her face- probably because of my unmannered style of eating.

"Lucy, I'm going to ask you a question and I need you to answer honestly, Okay?" I told her with serious concern looking her straight in the eye, "Are you suicidal?"

She sighed, tilting her head at me, and screamed "No"

"Then, please, eat something!" I advised her knowing what the answer would be considering it was Lucy I was dealing with here. She'd always been so self conscious even though she was immensely pretty and had the perfect figure, the only thing close to a flaw she had would be her petite frame, but even then, she was gorgeoud and every guy seemed to swoon at the sight of her.

"Whatever, change the subject." She demanded after mumbling something to herself before my sister approached us with Ian wrapping his arm around her shoulder. Her face seemed lit with a slarge smile on her face and her hair was ragged as if she'd just been play fighting with Ian.

"Hey Lina." She smiled sincerely at me. She hadn't called me Lina ever sicne we were young, she couldn't pronounce the 'N' in my name and always ended up saying 'Lina' but my parents loved the nickname, and evetually, it stuck around.

"Tell mum I'll be home a little late. Okay?" She assured me and I simply nodded whilst rolling my eyes when she wasn't looking. Me and my sister weren't really close anymore, ever since she'd started dating Ian, everything had changed- She'd changed. I wasn't her 'Lina' anymore, I had become just another annoying sister who she only kissed up to when she needed something from her.

Then they walked off as Ian gave me a wave and Claire presumed her gigling and laughing. Seeing them together, angered me, but what angered me more was the fact that he saw nothing in me. Nothing. I still hadn't wrapped my head around this morning, the patronising way he spoke to me and the way he just tapped my shoulder as if I was some sort of troubled child. It was killing me that he didn't know... well didn't remember.

                                                                                   *  *  *

A couple of years ago, I was going to a party with my sister, she'd forced me to come to this party and had also forced me to where her embroidered sequin red dress which I remember feeling really uncomfortable in. I didn't know why I'd agreed to do this and go to this party because parties were definitely not my thing, what I preferred more was to stay at home in my cosy blanket with mug of hot chocolate while watching re-runs of 'How I met Your Mother' but I guess I just didn't want to let my sister down.

When we arrived at the party, I had no idea who anyone was and the minute we arrived Claire had alreayd wandered off to her friends and previous boyfriend. I stood in the middle of the bar where the party was held, rubbing my arm whilst nervously looking around examining each and every face hoping that I found someone I recognised until I saw a familiar face.

It was that guy I'd been crushing on for a while now, but I never had a chance to talk to him because he was always surrounded by all these girls who I definitely couldn't compete with. He stood in the middle of the bar jsut across me with a bottle of beer in his hands as he almost cosistantly sipped from it.
