After the confession, the two lovebirds seemed to be flying. They were always found together, if Jungkook was not at Uni or if Taehyung had no work at the studio. The two were joined by the hips and went everywhere together.
Namjoon's birthday came and at that same time, Jungkook caught a cold. Taehyung had called the older if he could make it to the party Namjoon's workers had thrown him.
"Will you be able to, Kookie?" The younger's honey deep voice came from the phone.
"Yeah. I'll be there." Jungkook answered, his voice hoarse due to the sore throat. He was currently lying under the covers in his room. He heard shuffling on the other side.
"Okay then. I'll see you later then. Bye, Koo."
"Bye, Sugar cube." He said as he coughed. He sniffled and kept his phone on the nightstand. He stared at the ceiling. He didn't have the energy to move even a muscle, how was he going to go to the party? He sighed as he buried himself under the covers.
He fell asleep at some point because, by the time he woke up, there was darkness in his room. He moved a bit, a wet of cloth falling from his forehead. He looked at it for a while before he heard the door open. In confusion, he looked at the door.
Taehyung peeked into the room, his eyes lightening when he realised the brunette was awake. He walked into the room, sitting near Jungkook's legs. He looked at the older and Jungkook felt guilty. He was supposed to be there for the party now. He felt a set of fingers brushing his hair away from his forehead. He looked up and locked eyes with the blond who gave him a tender smile.
"Why didn't you tell me you were sick?" He asked softly, laying Jungkook down and replacing the cloth on his forehead. The brunette looked up at him.
"I didn't want you to worry." At this, Taehyung laughed his angelic laugh that Jungkook could hear forever. Taehyung leaned forward, kissing him on the cheek as he stood up.
"But I worry. Rest, I'll get you something to eat." He said as he exited the room and Jungkook closed his eyes. He woke up next when Taehyung entered the room carrying a tray a bowl of rice porridge. After keeping it on the nightstand he moved to check Jungkook's temperature.
After feeding him the porridge, Taehyung gave the brunette his medicine. "You should have told me, Kookie. I wouldn't have pressured you into going." He said as he tucked the older in bed.
Jungkook looked at him, feeling guilty as he averted his eyes and looked at the wall. "You really wanted to go, so I thought..." He trailed off, lifting his head to look at Taehyung when he felt a cool palm over his forehead.
"You're more important to me than that stupid party, Mon Cher." The blond said as he placed a sweet kiss on the older's forehead, Jungkook melting at the touch. "I'll be right here. Go to sleep." And with that, Jungkook closed his eyes, smiling all the while.
He woke up the next morning, to Yoongi putting the blanket over Jungkook. The older smiled at him and Jungkook returned it. He felt much better after a good night's sleep. He looked up as Yoongi removed the small bowl of water and the strips of cloth from the nightstand.
"How are you feeling now, Kook?" He asked and the brunette answered, "Much better now, Hyung. Thank you." The mint haired male laughed lightly at it as moved from his position. Jungkook sat up, giving him a confused look.
"I'm not the one you should be thanking. Taehyung was the one who stayed awake the whole night looking after you. He refused to leave your side even for a second." Jungkook looked to his side and froze. There Taehyung was, sitting on the floor with his head on the side of the bed and his head nestled in his arms. The brunette felt a wave of emotion pass over him.
Never had anyone done something for him. Not even his mother. And here was Taehyung, from the family of billionaires, sitting by his bedside, refusing to leave his sick boyfriend alone. He couldn't be thankful enough for this angel. He leaned forward, gently caressing the younger's head as he let out a sigh and squirmed before waking up.
He lifted up his head, rubbing his eyes with his fists and yawning. He looked like such a baby that Yoongi and Jungkook cooed at the cuteness. He looked up and locked eyes with Jungkook, smiling.
"You woke up? How are you now?" He asked as he stood up, stretching a bit to relieve his joints. "I'm fine now that I've seen you." And Taehyung blushed prettily. Jungkook got out of his bed and Yoongi left the two alone. The brunette stood in front of the blond, his hands coming up to frame the younger's face. He felt as if he had the whole world in his hands.
No words were required at that moment as the two were lost in the other's eyes. Jungkook looked at Taehyung fondly as he leaned in, placing a kiss on his plump lips. He felt the younger smile against his lips and he put his arms around his petite frame. They pulled away, Jungkook kissing Taehyung on his head as he kept him close. Unknowingly, the young blond had become his place to return to. His home.
