"These pains are messengers, listen to them"

Jimin watched as his best friend broke apart, piece by piece. Each sob racking his body as the boy wailed in Namjoon's chest. The older male had tears in his eyes, his shock long gone as he rubbed the boy's back to soothe him. But the blond's wails only grew louder. Namjoon sniffled before he pulled the younger closer, hiding him in his chest as the other clutched his white shirt in his hands.

"Pick up the goddamn phone, Jungkook!" Yoongi said in frustration as he slammed his fist into a wall, Hoseok hurrying over to him. They all had rushed to the house when Jimin had called them, telling them how he had found Taehyung. The blond had been a mess, eyes glazed over, mouth hung in shock, still sitting near the door. As soon as he had spotted Jimin, he had burst out, spilling everything to the silver-haired male.

Jimin had taken him inside, calling up Seokjin first thing, telling him to rush over. The older had reached in less than five minutes with Namjoon in tow. They had been more than shocked to see the sight. Yes, they had seen Taehyung cry, but it had been once when the boy had spilled all his secrets to the couple. The blond was strong-headed, not really showing the things that hurt him and keeping his emotions to himself. Seeing him like this broke their hearts but Namjoon had taken quick action, taking the blond in his arms as Seokjin got him a glass of water.

That had been 3 hours ago and now, the 5 stood in the living room, throwing worrying glances at each other. The youngest of them showed no signs of stopping as he cried his heart out. Seokjin moved forward, not being able to watch as his child suffered. He pulled the boy's head to his lap, running his hands through his hair as he whispered sweet nothings in his ear. Namjoon stood up, swiftly wiping his tears as he left the two alone for some time. He couldn't bear to see Taehyung so broken.

Yoongi followed him, rubbing his back as they disappeared in the balcony. Hoseok and Jimin decided to make something to feed the boy. Seokjin continued his actions hoping to make the younger fall asleep. It worked after another half an hour when the exhausted boy closed his eyes, his nose and cheeks red as tear streaks were evident on his face. Seokjin leaned back, resting his head against the backrest of the couch. He sighed, wiping away his tears as he looked at the blond.

He felt Deja vu, remembering a time when he had done the same thing, 3 years ago.

The 16-year-old blond stood outside the door of his adoptive parents. He had moved here only a few months back but he still was not comfortable calling them 'appa' or 'eomma'. They had taken it surprisingly well, telling him to take his time and feel free to ask them for any help. And that's why he was standing there, at midnight, in his pyjamas. He took a deep breath, softly knocking on the door, wishing they were awake.

The teen had just had a nightmare and he was scared beyond words. He didn't want to be but his dream had left him scarred. The door opened, revealing Seokjin in pink sweats with a towel on his shoulders. His black hair was dripping wet and his eyes were surprised at seeing the blond standing there. The teen opened his mouth, his eyes glossy as he stuttered out a sentence.

"I-I had a nightmare, J-Jin Hyung." He said as he clutched his soft pillow to his chest. His lips formed a pout and Seokjin quickly took action, pulling the smaller boy into a hug that the younger returned. "Do you want to talk about it?" The older asked gently, careful to not let the boy feel suffocated. He felt a slight nod against his chest and he smiled. "C'mon. I'll make us some hot chocolate and then you can tell me, okay?"
