"You're like a blank canvas...
That I've always wanted to paint.."
Broken pasts and shattered hearts have a way of finding their other halves.
Kim Taehyung believed he was cursed. Everything he touched, withered and died. He feared his heart, not...
Taehyung slung his bag over his shoulder as he picked up his phone from his desk. They were returning today. The week had gone too fast without anyone noticing, but Taehyung had enjoyed it to the fullest yet he knew, there was still an emptiness in his heart. He checked the room once, making sure he had everything with him. He nodded to himself and exited the room, walking into the living room. He walked through the room, reaching the main door. He opened it and stepped outside.
Yoongi and Namjoon were loading everyone's luggage into the cars. Yoongi, Jungkook and Hoseok were in one while Seokjin, Namjoon and Taehyung were in the other. Taehyung was sad he wouldn't be able to bid goodbye to the three. The three lived far from the Kims' house and nothing could be done about it. Taehyung walked closer to the two and stopped near the car.
"I really wish you could come over tonight, Yoongi hyung," Taehyung said, puffing out his cheeks and pouting. Yoongi looked at him before a smile broke out on his face. He stepped towards the blond and ruffled his hair. "I know, Jag-eun moon. But I'll come by whenever I get time, okay?" He said and Namjoon smiled at the interaction and the nickname Yoongi had for Taehyung.
Taehyung's eyes lit up at the comment and he embraced the elder. "I'll miss you, Suga hyung," Taehyung said, adding the nickname he had for Yoongi. They let go of each other as the other three came out of the cabin. Everyone had their bags in their hands. As they approached, Yoongi closed the trunk. Everyone got ready to bid their goodbyes.
Seokjin gave Yoongi and Hoseok a side hug. He moved onto Jungkook and pulled the younger into an embrace, patting his back once. He then proceeded to sit in the car containing their luggage. It was a white Lamborghini Urus and Seokjin adored it. He settled comfortably and as he waited, he connected his phone to the car's system, choosing a playlist for their long journey home.
Outside the car, Namjoon gave Yoongi, Hoseok and Jungkook and hug before he too settled in the car. Taehyung hitched up his bag a bit as he nibbled on his bottom lip. He took a step towards Hoseok and engulfed him into a bone-crushing hug. Hoseok chuckled before wrapping his arms around the blond tightly. "I'm not going away forever, little tiger." He said as he let go. Taehyung nodded, letting a smile form on his face.
He moved to Jungkook, slightly opening his arms to embrace the elder but Jungkook raised his hand to shake. Seeing this, Taehyung let his arms fall to his side and raised his own hand when Jungkook realized what he did and tried to bring the younger into a hug. It was utter confusion with the two stepping forward and backwards. Hoseok burst into laughter as the two flushed under the heavy gaze. Taehyung shook his head, stepping forward and wrapping his arms around Jungkook. The other boy froze.
Their bodies seemed to fit perfectly, like puzzle pieces. A wave of calm flowed over Jungkook as he wrapped his arms around the other, returning the hug. He could keep hugging this boy forever. But sadly, he had to let go. The two stepped backwards, giving each other small smiles.
While all this was happening, Yoongi and Hoseok had settled into their own car, a Mercedes AMG GLE63 S Coupe in grey. Jungkook looked at Taehyung before gathering his courage and fishing out his phone from his pocket. He unlocked it and stretched his hand towards Taehyung.
"Can I have your number, Taehyung?" He asked, hoping the boy would say yes. Taehyung's confused eyes closed once before a blushed a pretty pink and took the phone. He quickly typed in his number, saving it with his name and handed it back to Jungkook. The said elder would have jumped up in joy if he wasn't aware of his surroundings. A loud honk made them turn around.
Taehyung gave Jungkook a smile as he spoke, "I hope to see you again sometime, Jungkook-ssi." Jungkook nodded. "Me too, Taehyung." And with that, they turned and walked towards the cars. Taehyung got into the Lamborghini and Jungkook into the Mercedes. The engines revved to life as they hit the road, going back home.

As soon as they reached their home, Taehyung put on his backpack, taking off his shoes and running up the stairs towards his room. Seokjin's shouts to 'Slow down' fell on deaf ears as Taehyung disappeared into his room. The older clicked his tongue before he began walking to the master bedroom with Namjoon in tow.
Although the Kims were one of the richest in Korea, they lived in a 2-floor penthouse and not a mansion as some would think. The decor inside was fairly simple. The living room had large windows, giving a perfect view of the city lights. In front of the windows were cream couches, matching the cream walls and the warm lights in the room. There was a glass table in front of the couches and a TV on the other wall. On the corner was a staircase, leading up to the floor with bedrooms. Next to the living room was the kitchen, separated by a wall. The house was gorgeous, screaming luxury but still giving cosy vibes.
Upstairs, Taehyung was furiously painting strokes after strokes on his once blank canvas. His room was lit up with bright lights, the light reflecting off the white walls. Three out of the four walls were white, with one of them holding a shelf for his books and one supporting his desk and bed. The last wall was complete glass, high windows with the curtains currently pulled away, overlooking the skyscrapers of Seoul. The fourth wall was currently empty as Taehyung had wanted to paint it, but never got the time.
But the best part of his room was the ceiling. The previously white ceiling was painted an empty black, with a blue galaxy blooming in the centre. It twisted till it reached the ends. Taehyung had painted it himself just a year ago and he was completely in love with it.

After a few minutes, Taehyung stood straight and looked at his newest work. It was a painting of that night with fireworks. The night sky was sparkling with colours with the stream reflecting the light. In the middle of it stood a figure. He was a black silhouette, somehow bright against the dark night. The figure had his back turned towards the painting, his head slightly turned to look at the painting. Although none of his features was painted, his eyes seemed to be boring into the viewer's own.
Taehyung looked over it once, before he wiped his hands on a cloth kept near his tools. He stretched, his joints popping into place. He decided to call it a night and get ready for bed.
He took a quick shower and changed into grey sweats. He picked up his phone, clicking a quick picture of his painting and mailing it to his manager, Bae Joo-Hyun, also known as Irene. She organized all the art exhibitions for Taehyung who worked under the mononymous name, V. He kept his phone on his nightstand, clicking off the lights and settling under the covers.
The moonlight illuminated the room and Taehyung lied awake for sometime before the tiredness from the whole day came crashing out on him and in a few minutes, he was out like a light.

For once, I remembered the A/N, but I have nothing to say. Hope you enjoyed the chapter! If you have any questions, let me know.
Also, Jag-eun means little. Thank me later, hehe (kidding).
